I'm still being pursuaded to go on vacation in my town, almost want to spend a night in a hotel now, but no because it's Easter holiday in the UK so the prices are inflated, will be cheaper in a week or so.

Anyway, what adverts are you being targeted with, anything interesting or unusual?

Mobile phone and google search engine. Perhaps Wi-Fi signals. Google cars were caught recording all wi-fi traffic so that they could put GPS coordinates to Wi-Fi routers and use that information for geo-location.

Funny thing is, when I open a Google maps window, it's always some random location in the UK. Not my home city.
I get adverts based on the things I have searched for eg... ghillie suits.

Used to get junk mail on this basis. I lived in a city apartment and did a search for camouflage gear and bear traps as part for research for a comment. I started getting outdoor catalogs in the post.

Nothing. I have nothing up there... Just forums.. And I stay logged in and use DESKTOP MODE on each device, even phone. No issues

I don't mind the ads to be honest, they're not intrusive, and the site has gotta pay for itself.
I actually don't think I've ever clicked on an advert though.

A little experiment and I got some advertisements. I don't normally use the 'main page' (?) on ATS so I clicked on it.
The top had an advertisement for a local car dealership, I suppose I've been searching up cars, although I don't recall looking at that particular one or at a JEEP. On the right side there was an advertisement for skinhub, also don't recall searching that but shared computer (this one).
I searched the local grocery store just to see, came back to ATS 'main page' and had the top advertisement changed to Crocs and the side changed to a corner store that is a chain convenience type store.

I wouldn't go near a bank to be honest, I've done all my financial services with a building society for nearly 3 decades now. They are a bit like your credit unions I believe, owned by the members, no shareholders taking profit.

I truely get nothing but a small upper rt corner ad that immediately goes away while clicking any forum.

No pop-ups, auto play videos, page covers.. Nada.. No clue as to why not. No special settings, apps, expensive devices...?

Just lucky I guess
