The Newsweek caption under an old picture of H. W. Bush's family attending church says, "George Sr. once taught Sunday school and George W. was an alter [sic] boy."

The spelling error (since corrected) is perhaps the only truthful thing in this article by Howard Fineman (March 10,2003) which proclaims that the Bush presidency is "the most resolutely faith-based" in modern times, "an enterprise founded, supported and guided by trust in the temporal and spiritual power of God."

Newsweek apparently doesn't realize that Protestants don't have altar boys. But George W. Bush may still be an "alter" boy.

Only a mind controlled "alter" could manage the brazen hypocrisy, deceit and blasphemy required to identify his foul, murderous policies with the will of God.

Boris Savinkov once explained how difficult it was to get a real Christian to kill.

But George Bush is no Christian. Never was. He is an illustration of how the Illuminati assume the mantle of Christianity to disguise their diabolical intentions and discredit God. Iraq is about oil, Zionism and world tyranny. Bush's pious drivel and Newsweek's revolting hosannas fool no one.

The Bush's are Episcopals, so they are in the Anglican branch of protestantism. The Anglicans broke from the Catholic Church due to political reasons (Henry VIII wanted a divorce), and so, though adopting more protestant stances, at different times, in the last 400+ years, retain more similarities with Catholicism than other protestant faiths... So, though I don't know for sure, it's possible that they still have altar boys.

I thought Bush was a Methodist (an offshoot of Anglicanism) either way both have altar people (girls perform the duties as well).

I was thinking of Bush Sr, within whose faith W would have been brought up. I think Laura Bush is methodist, and so he converted when he married her...

I could be wrong about the senior Bush's, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that 'Pa' was an episcopalian.
