Silly question, actually two. So around 90 miles is where it will start to enter the atmosphere? Is it going fast enough to bounce off like the
shuttle could have?
Its going too fast to skip significantly.
If I were a Chinese engineer I might have designed those solar 4 panel wing mounts with two weak pins that would give way fairly early upon reentry.
Maybe the Chinese don't have much use for windmills though..
is that because its not plane shaped or because its tumbling? I would imagine if it did skip that would give even less of chance of knowing where it
will come down? I was thinking of ksp and how you can skip stuff back into orbit lol
Its traveling at 17000 MPH and is not going to be able to generate enough lift to overcome the 9.8 m per second squared gravitational force.
They would need an automatic burn switch triggered by centripetal spin pressure to get out of this one.
Not worth it for a piece of Chinese junk they would just have to dorbit later.
