Bigfoot lives in the woods?

I hope you weren't addressing me in that post....I'm not accusing your stories of being lies, I'm wanting to find out MORE info about them. It's fascinating. Has anyone set up cameras there?

I've ben interested in the idea of Bigfoot since I was a child and saw the Boggy Creek film one Christmas (some of it anyway, really scared me so I never watched it all). I've read many accounts, listened to two radio programs and so on and of course, like everyone, I don't have the answers, but I am certain they exist.
I'm open to the idea they live out there in the wild, or that they are indeed from 'elsewhere' i.e. Interdimensional.
If they are flesh and blood creatures that live in the woods and remote areas, with relatively low numbers and far more developed senses than humans, they could easily avoid us. Yes, it is strange no bones or pelts are found, but they coiuld bury their dead, specially if they are highly sociable living in family units. It may be that they can easily sense us, even trail cams, perhaps even influence electronic equipment - I mean, I know a girl who fairly often affects streetlights as she passes under them, so a bf could have a more developed ability.

As for the possibility of them being interdimensional - I believe much of our unexplained phenomena could be down to interdimensional gateways, brings and so on. Is it really that beyond the realms of possibility? Science seems open to the idea of multiple realities. There have been sightings here in the UK, and clearly we don't really have the vast areas of wilderness to support them, so interdimensional would seem more likely.

Wild or interdimensional, as David Brent would say, the two aren't mutually exclusive, perhaps the truth is som where inbetween.

I have considered your thoughts as well
for a very long time. I think its obvious they
exist. I also site the constant concise
conformity in every discription of them per encounter. Something so massive could
move with speed and agility up hills or trees
and be gone before we could even be close
enough to see It. A massive barrel chest
suggests to me massive lungs of equel
importance to evasion capability.
Throw in an intelligence that matches
all this super human ability.

It used to be much the same near the Dalles, OR, and across the river in Washington, near White Salmon, or west of there. I've heard many tales of Skookum, Sasquatch, etc...

My Dad mostly grew up in that area in the '30's, and he had encounters with big critters that walked on two feet, rather large feet. As did my Grandfather who was a county sheriff in the area, during the 30's and 40's...

My own encounter came east of there near the Oregon-Washington border, Walla Walla county up in the foothills of the Blue Mts.

There were stories that date, if I remember correctly, back to the late 50's, early 60's, of bigfoot sightings and UFO sightings very close together in the same area.

I've not run across any of those particular stories on the internet...but thanks for the reminder!

I was there for one of the episodes shortly after this was filmed...it was seriously spooky.

As far as anyone knows, nothing was hit by those gunshots.

My family sightings have been roughly in the same area (Dalles). My grandfather was a forest ranger and oh, the stories he could tell...

My only one was in the Frazer river canyon in British Columbia, north of there

Ill have to play this for my friends that live in Humboldt county. They never said anything about it sounding like laughter. I thought they said it was more like a animal scream. Very loud.

Grandpa wanted to go track it with the 50 caliber gun. Guys said no. They can smell it and will stay concealed. He wont go without a big gun, and I don't want him to. We talked about vac locking the gun loosely so they couldnt smell it, but he could still pull the trigger if it came at him.

We know where some are in Northern California. By Ettersburg road, the closest city is Garbersville
Does anyone want to go up there with grandpa? He said I cant go. The guy that saw it was really scared. Its real big, and runs fast

Couldn't those just be coyotes? Packs of coyotes can make some crazy, wacky sounds. There are times when they all sound like they are laughing but it has a specific meaning (or, means that a certain situation is happening), like all of their different calls and yelps.

I grew up around coyotes, and yeah, they can make an incredible number sounds that you'd never think could come from a canine...This was something else.

As I said, I was present when whatever it was made another visit. It wasn't near as long as that one in the video, 20 seconds maybe...but there was "something" in the calls, or howls, if you prefer, that just doesn't come through on the video. Some years later, about three years and a little, a friend and I heard nearly identical howls just north of the Oregon border into the foothills of the blues, not far from where I had seen Skookum years previous...that tale is here on ATS.

It could have been overwrought imagination, I suppose... But I've lived a good portion of my life out of doors in the deep woods both in the Northwest, and Alaska. I don't spook easily. Those sounds came very close to doing just that.

I don't know of any way to describe except as there was intelligence in it. ...and, no, I've no idea how I know this, I just do. Maybe it's that little corner of my brain that still lives in that cave huddled around a fire lit to keep away the things that go bump in the night?

Huh. Well I'll take your word for it, because to me it sounds exactly like sounds I've heard from a pack of coyotes that lives near my sister's land in Oklahoma. One of my favorite things to do when I visit is to sit on the patio at night and wait for the sounds. They can sound just wacko as all get out (as you know), and I've heard what sounds just like what is on that video.

But! I wasn't there in person and you were, so I'll defer to you on it. I've also never seen a Bigfoot and you have, so again, I defer to you.

Maybe they imitate coyotes? Maybe they imitate them to draw them in and then have them for dinner?

Well I read some of your Bigfoot sighting thread. I've only read up to the part where you saw the Bigfoot (the second time, when you got it confirmed that it was a Bigfoot), so you may have answered this later in the thread...

You say that it was standing by the road and the two of you locked eyes for 30 seconds and that was the encounter. You go on to say that these creatures are very, very dangerous and really, really smart.

How were you able to ascertain those things from just locking eyes with it for 30 seconds?

Our friend believes they hang out in the woods, but are not here all the time. He suggested extra dimensional.

I think they may be extra dimensional as well. I appreciate all the people in here coming forth with personal experiences and will catch up in this thread tomorrow. I have always been fascinated by this topic.
