Cultural problem, not an Islamic problem. There are millions of Muslims who don’t beat or kill their daughters, and there are plenty of non-Muslims who beat and/or kill their daughters.
Cool avatar by the way. Your selfie with your gun makes you look so cool and awesome.
Islamic culture?

There are non-Islamics who have the same culture.
I’m glad you saw my edit.

Who is asking you to accept these atrocities?
Do you accept them?
Wtf? I like nice people. I don’t care what they believe until it hurts someone else.
So is it a yes or no?
I saw your edit, your against murder. But your ok with the other islamic tradition of punishment for disrespecting the parents?

Of course there are. No one is saying Muslims have a monopoly on deviant behavior. This particular act was based in Islamic culture though.
The quran is certainly a reprehensible book. Just like the Torah, the many christian books, the talmud, the haddith, The Secret, any astrology book, and pretty much any book written by L. Ron Hubbard.

Or any other religion that has an extremist take on reality.
If you are going to lump in Christianity, at least acknowledge it is a general problem with ALL religions...
Islamic extremism is taking the spot light right now. Give it another 50 years, it will be something else.

No, it’s based on regional culture that transcends religion. There are non-Muslims in the same region that practice these same horrific acts. There are Muslim-dominated countries in different parts of the world that don’t have this same culture.
There are also Islamists/muslims, who have a different culture than others. They all have ideas that are as diverse as any other group. Not all muslims believe that the books are the words of gods and prophets. There are plenty of “muslims” who live as though they are Atheists. Just like there are plenty of christians who live as though they are atheists. Most people use the terms “Christian” and “Muslim” as synonyms for “good people” when in reality, they don’t read the books or subscribe to any of the magical events or demands set in them. They cherry pick the good stuff, because that is all they are interested in. Being seen as a good person.

How about we sort them out by how well they compare to reality and what science can show to be the most probable and helpful.

As long as people believe different things about different deities, there will be war, murder, cultural strife.
We either can wipe out all different beliefs and just believe one thing, like a totalitarian one-world government, or we can punish those that go against our own cultural beliefs.

Not that I am excusing anything but, it does sound more like the $20,000 was the prime motivation, probably pride and control
