Another store chain to stop selling guns

Nothing surprising. Kmart stopped selling in 2001. Sears and JC Penny's stopped years ago (1980's?) citing no margin in them.

Only thing gaining steam is the hot air ,so what if someone doesn't want to waste stockholders money it's not theirs,many still sell them some put an age limit,liberal's always make up story's can't stand to lose

it seems some small chain store (which it seems many of us, and not just me had never even heard of before), has decided that selling guns is not profitable for them, so they will stop selling them. in fact after looking at the article that selling guns was really just a test market for them only selling guns in 1/3 of their under 150 locations. it would seem that they have decided that their experiment did not work and so are no longer going to sell guns. chain stores and things like chain restaurants do stuff like this. they think an item might be worth selling. so they test sales in a few locations. if it seems to be popular they will expand the test, and ultimately may decide to have that item everywhere. if sales don't match the volume they would like at any point during the test, they just stop selling the item. it is just that simple. it seems sales of guns did not perform to their satisfaction, and so they have decided not to continue to sell the.

so why is this supposed to be news again? oh that's right, those against guns (like the OP) are trying to use this to say they are winning. and thus through this lie get more supporters. because everyone like to be on the winning team.

yup even though the story the OP posted not only says no such thing, and in fact seems to be saying it has nothing to do with political issues. anti-gun fanatics like the OP will try to use this to declare victory over the evil guns.

A baker should have the ability to sell a cake to anyone they want, and NOT sell a cake to others. The choice to do business should always be that of the individual business. If they choose to do something that will negatively affect their bottom line, that is something they should be allowed to do.

Change "cake" to "gun", and you can see how this is not a big deal despite the people hollering about it. Any business can opt to sell or not sell a gun to whomever they want, or none at all, in exactly the same manner as the rightwing says bakers are entitled to base sales decisions on. It literally IS a black & white either/or here -- what's good for the goose is good for the gander, otherwise if we're going to strong-arm businesses into selling guns wanton, then they should be a-ok with bakers in that "going to make you one way or the other" boat, too.

Choice. Businesses either have it or they don't. Are you (general You, not ND specifically) for that kind of freedom or not?

I'm for the freedom to be able to make good or poor decisions. It's what separates the 80% who fail in the first year, from the 20% who thrive. (and always remember, 76% of all statistics are made up on the spot)

If you don't sell a cake to a gay couple because you don't like gay people or their lifestyle, you have that choice. (or should) just as that couple has the ability and right to let their friends know and the community as a whole, how they were treated. then the Business will either prosper, or fail, based on the decisions they made. But we sure as hell don't need government, or courts to tell a company who they can and can't do business with.

On the other side of that, there are laws in place to protect people from unfair business dealings with regard to real-estate, and for good reason.

Well, historically speaking, you are wrong (gun ownership increases relatively sharply after every well-publicized fit over guns).

And historically speaking, these places will not be doing this permanently, but time will tell.
