There is zero evidence to support his contention.

There is however an endless stream of anecdotal evidence and philosophical musing that contradicts various elements of his contention.

Humans are inter-dimensional CREATOR Creations (like some Aliens)
Humans are beings who spend much of "life" sleep along with other CREATOR Creations part of the animalia kingdom of this world.
Upon sleep REM you leave this dimension and enter the next.
Try to really control your dreams and your dreams may come true. Or you upset something that preferred you didn't notice oddly like the wizard(s) of oz.

Ask yourself what can influence there, here and you?
Just considering the dimension accessing during what is perceived as awake and sleep not discussing meditation related access.
