Holy smokes. A minimum of 24 school shootings a month? Every month? That's almost 1500 shootings in the last 5 years. I gotta admit I'm out of the loop on most of these. Maybe you can link to some info on the ones from January? Not all of them, maybe just the first dozen.

While watching the news as it happened, several times reporters mentioned a possible 2nd shooter. That was scary because the shooter in custody walked out as a regular student and was found a mile away.

There was and possibly is alot we still don't know but, yes, a 2nd shooter was suspected and mentioned by reporters at the scene.

I must say I was disturbed by the casualness and joking around by the officials and many students. I lived in the area for 10 years in the 60s and still know many families in the area. Where's the empathy?

This incident, with the FBI, school and student knowledge of this mentally ill evil shooter, doesn't pass the smell test.

Time may tell-but it may not.

Her behavior is odd considering the circumstances, however, I remember what it was like to be a teenage girl...I wonder if the reporter was good looking who was interviewing her. I remember how easy it was to act fool around an older than me, attractive male at that age. All those hormones can make you act strangely. I can't discount that she might have been on something during the interview as well.

When someone shoots a gun in a building, that sound is directional and can actually sound like it is coming from a different direction if it goes around and through classrooms in the center with two doors open. She and others could have been fooled as to where the shooter was because of that effect.

She sounds desensitized, it seems that there are more people like that nowadays. I do not know if she saw the shooter, maybe she talked to someone and has a problem remembering who she talked to. Witnesses make mistakes sometimes, their beliefs and what other people say about something distorts their perception, sometimes a witness even gets the color of the person wrong. What she says is not reliable, I do not know what actually happened there, when the police release their full report we will know for sure. They hauled a bunch of kids away in ambulances, so now the death toll is seventeen, I guess most of them died. What a shame, I don't know what is going on in this country, I think social media is making these things more common. So is the press coverage. People who get irrational on social media can get more confident in their psychosis and wind up more of a threat. They believe others are thinking like them. They look for reinforcement from others who think as they do and this fuels their notion to do something bad.

I might of missed something, but did they say how the shooter got into the school? Usually school entrances are locked.

That's odd. People were predicting that the video would be pulled before too long, and then it was. What a strange coincidence.

Most people that get called millenials are Gen X'ers. It's become like a fad word to older people, that anyone young is a millenial. I'm in my 30's, and I went on an interview for a job with a woman less than 10 years my senior, and she referred to me as a millenial and it just made me go; what?

My dad was born in 52, I was born in 86; I'm not a millenial, I'm a gen Xer. Looks like you have no idea or grasp or concept of how "Generations" work. It's really less about the time you're born and more about the next generation of progeny; we use a loose time frame because of "overlap" but no; it's not a blanket. It literally refers to the generation on the family tree.

I don't care what Strauss and Howe say, because that's not how generations work.

A millenial can never be the next progeny from baby boomers, they would be Gen X. Baby Boomer couples can't have millenials. It's not possible.
