Im trying to track down some religious origins, and looking for the earliest usage of 33.

So far I have the 33 Vedic gods, and the 33 Zoroastrian virtues of heaven as the oldest examples, dating 2000-1500bc at the very oldest estimate.

Does anyone have an older example of '33' in religion?

The key to this degree/symbolism, in my opinion, is that 33 is one above 32, which represents freezing. 33 represents melting the ice.

The spine and jesus stuff also relates. Can't have a human body until you're defrosted....you know...from the cryogenics.

I never asked what it means, just looking for an example predating Avestan or Hindu. Anyone study Summerian? I wanna find the oldest reference..

An alchemist created the F° scale for that very reason, he wanted transformation at 33. Its an arbitrary value.. Zero in other scales;Celsius, Newton.

Water boils at 33 Newton. Another arbitrary value assigned by an alchemist. I'm trying to look past all that.. by a couple thousand years..

I was just indicating that of course Jesus would be 33 years old in 33 AD since it was his birth that started the clock at 0 AD. You suggest that it was some kind of amazing coincidence.

One third of the angels were cast down with Lucifer. That is what 33 is about, IMO.

In Kabbalah the "Tree of Life" has 32 paths but if you include the 11th sephirah, Da'at, you then have 33. Naturally, this is by no means the earliest literal occurrence of the number in religion, but I feel certain that it is linked to the 33rd degree in Freemasonry.

Eve rebelled against YHWH's single Rule.

Multiply this by the UnHoly Trinity (3) and you have 11 x 3 = 33.

Deriving the number 33 -

Using numerology:

3+3=6
3x3=9

We get the numbers 6 and 9.

6 is the number of the Hexagram.

There are 6 sides of the Hexagram. The Hexagram is composed of two opposing equilateral triangles.
An equilateral triangle has 60° on each corner, therefore; 60°, 60°, 60° or 666.

Since the Hexagram has 2 opposing triangles, therefore; 60°+ 60°+ 60°= 180 x 2 = 360

360=36 (0 is omitted, no value)

We get the number 36. Deriving the number 36, we get:

1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18+19+20+21+22
+23+24+25+26+27+28+29+30+31+32+33+34+35+36=666

We get 666 again. Therefore, the secret number of the Hexagram is 666.

9 is the number of the inverted Pentagram.

Within the pentagram, the angles are: 108°, 72°and 36°

108°= 1+0+8 = 9
72°= 7+2 = 9
36° = 3 + 6 = 9

We get the number 9 from these angles. What if we add all the angles?

108+72+36=216=2+1+6 = 9

72+36 = 108 = 1+0+8 = 9
108+36 = 144 = 1+4+4 = 9

We get a persistent number 9. How about we multiply the angles?

108x72x36 = 279936 = 2+7+9+9+3+6 = 36 = 3+6 = 9
108x72 = 7776 = 27 = 2+7 = 9
72x36 = 2592 = 2+5+9+2 = 18 = 1+8 = 9
108x36 = 3888 = 3+8+8+8 = 27 = 2+7 =9

We still get a persistent number 9. How about we reverse the angles?

108+72+36 ----> 801+27+63=891= 8+9+1 = 18 = 1+8 = 9
108+72 ----> 801+27= 828 = 8+2+8 = 18 = 1+8 = 9
72+36 ----> 27+63= 90 = 9+0 =9
108+36 ----> 801+63= 864 = 8+6+4 = 18 = 1+8 = 9

Even if we reverse the angles, we still get the persistent number 9. It's the same thing even if we multiply the reverse angles:

108x36 ----> 801x63 = 50463 = 5+0+4+6+3 = 18 = 1+8 =9
72x36 ----> 27x63 = 1701 = 1+7+0+1 = 9

Within the pentagram, lies a magical number 9.

Therefore, the number 33 is a mystic number and is used in witchcraft and devil worship.

Ex: The highest degree in Freemason is 33°.
