I have a Bassline Craving Right Now. I Need More.

Don't know what's suddenly come over me, but i need to hear some great basslines to feed my craving. So please add as many good ones as you can.

Love Bass lines myself.

Here's just a fraction of some sounds......

I agree I saw Weller way back in the early 2000s and he played "That's Entertainment" and "Town Called Malice". The rest was mainly his solo stuff with a couple of Style Council Tunes thrown in. His new songs aren't that good.

A continuing career of diminishing returns that parallels Stings post-Police career IMHO.

Foxton is still churning out the odd good tune though.

James are one of those sort of forgotten late 80s- 90s Brit bands. Until you dig take a look at their output and it all comes flooding back.

Taxman has one of those cool riffs that the Beatles seemed to churn out with ease. Paperback Writer comes to mind and in later years Come Together. Paul even SANG the bassline on "I Will" off the White Album.

But I don't want to turn this into McCartney fest!!! I suppose many people would propose Flea (RH Chilli Peppers), and Geddy Lee (Rush) up there as great rock bass players.

But what about some of the indulgent 80s basslines?

Flea's your man for baselines.
