Hey the Lohan is typically seen as immortal of course messing around trying to gain it; is the wrong reason as messing around with a yokainaga (human with reptile spirit inside Nagarjuna in Buddhism was such a being)... either you'll be granted or life force (chi) sucked empty just for messing around without a genuine heart seeking truth and the immortal business just a side effect from that earnest search. Even after that still not an easy path as it is a boon to continue on in aid not in selfish pursuits...
