Superbowl LII - hidden messages and pre-determined game?

I'm sure a lot of Eagles fans will disagree with this but I'm going to point out some oddities I just thought of after listening to GroundZero on the Radio (for those that don't listen to Mr Lewis, I suggest you check out his program, it's right up ATS's alley).

So, we have 2 teams, the PATRIOTS vs EAGLES. Both are representative of the United States. One being what many consider the backbone of the country (Patriots) and the other being a symbol of many things, one being the national bird, possibly symbolizing the nation. Both symbols are integral to the US and without either of them we would be a different nation.

I remember some years ago a call by our president for patriotism and for Americans to do their patriotic duties (some being to over-look gov over-reach) and he did this after a national disaster and then passing a law/act, named after patriots, The Patriot Act. In this very year, a young quarterback lead his team to the first Superbowl victory and he was basically the ideal "all american" guy and has kept that image with a beautiful wife, being well behaved, being well spoken, is caring, etc. He seems too good to be real (looking back but we didn't know then). IMHO he is the modern day CAPTAIN America.

So after the attacks the nation goes to war and the Patriots win the biggest sporting event in the nation. That is kind of subliminal and has an inspiring message for the nation on some level.

On the other hand, we have the Eagles, from the City of Independence (could that mean people working as individuals/loaners in TPTB's eyes??) also called the City of Brotherly Love (some say that tounge-in-cheek), who always seem to have potential and it seems like they get a running start and then they get tripped from behind (some of the ref's have lost a lot of games for the Eagles and they could have made some big games had they had fair calls for them and honest calls against the other teams). So this team has always struggled and it was like a tease for the fans, we'd hear "could this be the year??".

I just heard that Philadelphia can be translated into "Lover of the serpent" or "lover of the sun" and Eagles often eat snakes and they soar near the sun.

While Philly had a lot of heart breaking seasons, even seeing fellow state team Steelers winning 2 rings and also having many good seasons, the Patriots became the darlings of the NFL I think largely due to the charisma of Mr Brady, winning ring after ring after ring and even getting to the game 2x where they lost to the GIANTS (which I believe has meaning in itself, and also being from NYC where the towers fell).

So now the we have a new president and there are a lot of people who absolutely hate him while others are totally opposite. The president has talked about knowing Brady and that they are "friends" (he probably likes his wife, lol, who doesn't ) and I think he was rooting for NE. A lot of Trump supporters are Patriots (real American people, not players). NE has been plauged with cheating scandals with the latest being deflate gate, so Trump knows how they were feeling with the press coverage, and Bilecheck has a history of being a tough (read "a real dick") coach. Trump would probably either be great friends with Bill or they would hate each other b/c they seem almost as if cut from same cloth.


Don't forget all the scandel and controversy of all the NE players from the murderer who ended up killing himself (entire thing was suspicious especially the suicide), players shooting at people, carrying guns in night club, beating girlfriends or wives, drug use, etc. Now a lot of this can be chalked up to young, dumb, strong and having lots of money so good judgement can be lost quickly in some situations, especially if alcohol of drugs are involved. It just seemed that they always had lots of negative media coverage from stealing plays (lip reading) to deflating balls, and probably more that we don't know of.

Now the Eagles seem like they could represent the country as a whole in some way, or even the military with the Eagle as mascot and thus maybe represent the military industrial complex and even more, the deep state. Philadelphia also hosted the DNC in 2016 and all the scandal behind that and the beginning if the Russia controversey, so maybe that represents something, maybe the deep state sending a message (the impossible win or a team that was a major underdog - though Trump was the underdog - but not it could be some message to Trump that Philly is beating the reigning champs)..

Around 2005-2006 I realized that the NFL was just a sports drama being played out like the WWE or some TV sitcom and I stopped watching. I looked at a lot of plays, errors and a lot of things that should never happen that kept happening and it just made no sense that it wasn't scripted. Listening to the players talk was a big give away as well. When they started putting women on the side line and in locker rooms as reporters and having them talk about plays and other things that were just SOOO out of "sex character" (yeah I'm sterotyping and being sexist but this is true) that I could no longer watch games or even watch sports interviews. It seemed like a 600lb jabba the hut interviewing fitness gurus and acting like he knows exactly what they are talking about (and they were always way over weight so it wasn't a recent thing - if you get the point here comparing this to women covering the NFL). So obviously there is a major political agenda being pushed within the NFL and especially ESPN so no more for me thank you...

So with the subtle hidden political and social messages being pushed, it made me think that the way the Eagles won may have a message as well. I got the feeling that it may have been a warning that war was coming (maybe to the US either by martial law, invasion, or civil war - or degrees and combinations of these).

I'm going to continue thinking about what happened and re-watch the game with this mind-set and see if I can come up with any other ideas or viewpoints, but I think they played this game out to make some kind of a statement. One of those might have been that they (the US gov or deep state) is coming after American patriots (and possibly president??) and maybe that the patriots days are over? Having a team that hasn't won in 52 years beating a team that was so good I think is also part of the message, maybe it has to do with a previous war like Korea. We signed the armistice in 1953.


Oh, there were also a record number of million dollar bets placed on the eagles and they didn't even take the point spread that was being offered (4.5 pts I believe).. There were also A LOT of other large bets for the Eagles as well, so I wonder how LV, AC and the bookies are doing today..? I wonder if any of this has to do with the Dow and stock market the day after??


I'd like to hear what others thought. I heard that there was some odd symbolism with the half time show and there certainly was with the commercials but I'm not going to get into them ATM though they probably deserve to be covered and maybe in their own thread.?

My boyfriend is way into football and he gets pissed at how I predict the winners but I'm always right.

For the superbowl, I predicted the Eagles would win. Because Patriots have tri-corner hats and make #ty hunters with their muskets while eagles can easily # on them and attack in swarms.

He HATES how I do this but I'm almost always right.

How many thousands of people would have to be in on this to make it happen? The rehearsal and communication needed couldn’t be done unseen. And out of the THOUSANDS of people it would take to do this over the course of months, if not years of planning...not one person has leaked any information or been spotted doing something illicit?

What about super bowl 1? Chiefs Vs Packers? The Packers won. Was it because of the fierce war going on behind the scenes between the acme packing company and the native Americans?

What does the World Series tell us? Dodgers vs astros? Were the old trolly dodgers of the early 20th century trying to stop space travel? Of course that would mean that the trolly dodgers from old Brooklyn would have time travel capabilities to be able to travel back in time...maybe...MAYBE they’re trying to warn of us something bad from the future??

But the Dodgers lost...so we must be screwed.

you do realize that the patriots played the Atlanta falcons in the last super bowl, and falcons also are able to swarm and s**t on them in the same way as eagles.

it was about at that same time that I also came to the conclusion that the NFL is rigged,and like you,at that time, I also noticed that it bore an uncanny resemblance to WWE. I haven`t watched an NFL game since then.

The entire charade of the patriots is a page stolen right out of the WWE playbook.

create a villain that keeps winning by "cheating" and or with help from the officials, to ensure that the viewers tune in every week,every month, every year to see if the villain finally gets caught cheating or finally loses.

The NFL commission tells the officials who is to win each game and the officials make it happen.

I haven`t watched WWE since I was a kid back in the 1970`s but when I realized that the NFL had stolen the WWE playbook I stopped watching NFL games.

I've been right there with you. Haven't watched a game since 2006 when I, just like you, realized the game was as phony as pro-wrestling. I realized that when I found I could pretty much predict winners/losers for every game. It's highly choreographed, for the Las Vegas bookies.

So you're rich now due to taking advantage of that ability by placing surefire bets?

If there is anything going on outside of actual playing the game, it with the money and gambling. Sports is a big pool of money for the taking. If there is a plot, it's fixing scores for the benefit of certain individuals gambling.

Wouldn't the Eagles represent freedom? Where as many on the right consider ourselves patriots, doesn't Hollywood's idea of patriotism involve a small group of behind the scenes players that are willing to thumb their nose at the rule of law for what they believe is the greater good (you mention the scandals surrounding the Patriots)? I have a hard time believing that TPTB could care about the outcome, especially when the subliminal messaging from the commercials can be so easily manipulated. Maybe something more divine?

All of this might matter if somebody had actually watched the Superbowl. But their ratings tanked.

The NFL is the new NASCAR. It was really popular once but now, not so much. It's not going to go away but it's definitely going to be in a much smaller market going forward.

This is very very true. It is just sports entertainment. There's too much money on the line now for them to allow anything to happen generically.

They wouldn't be willing to take that risk, no way.

That's why I don't support sports leagues that are what I call "closed-circuit." And by closed-circuit, I mean that there's no penalty for sucking. No promotion, no relegation. If there's no promotion and relegation system, then the league can't possibly have any true integrity.

Another example: The MLS is in the same boat. The world doesn't take it seriously as a top-flight soccer league because it's a closed-circuit league. They don't consider it as a real soccer league. The rest of the world pretty much laughs at it.

The patroits have been on top the whole time the dems have been on top.

The owner is named kraft.

The Eagles may not be the savior we desired but me thinks they stepped up their game at the right time for the right reasons.

As far as it being predetermined it is not so. Methinks some are battling on our behalf.

I believe that having the Eagles help fight the battle was alot better than having the saints roll in on the scene.

I knew after the division playoffs and we had doughting thomas come on the mic and curse after the game while giving zero thanks to anyone other than himself and teamates vs foles come on the mic and thank God and such. I knew then Foles had something special in the arsenal and that something positive is on the way. Cling to faith and hope and love.

Eh, no it didn't. It will be, at the end of the year, the most watched sporting event of the year, and in the top five of all television shows watched for the year.

Neilsen shows it as 103.4 million viewers. Down from last year, but about 75 million more viewers than ANY other show or sporting event will draw in 2018.
