i want to see what you all think of this.

i have been listening to a lot of Miles Davis and Weather Report Lately. So What is basically known as THE Miles Davis song. if you can play So What youre a bad mother #er. bottom line.

anyway this is off the 50th anniversary collection and is about 8 minutes longer than the original studio version.
if youre not into jazz or horns youre probably not going to make it through.
if you are into jazz and horns please give this a listen and tell me what you think.

this song takes me all sorts of places. it is unbelievable how good he was.

here you go

Stunning album, stunning musician. The Don Cheadle "biopic" isn't too bad either.

When I saw your headline I thought it was going to be Anti Nowhere League, glad it wasn't.

Lovely! Even inspired me to write a poem. I love music with no words and I hadn’t listened to much of Miles Davis before so I’m glad I dropped by. Thanks for sharing

Sweet, introspective and hopeful, the kinda blue I'll rather have everyday... don't forget the rest of the ensemble- John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb. You just whet my appetite for some of this:

I love Jaco, have you already watched this:

Thanks.

of course i have seen it.
Jaco was the man

have you seen his son Felix play? Felix is nasty man.

his economy of motion in his picking hand is something else

Felix is okay, I'm keeping an eye and both ears on Tal Wilkenfeld. I'm more impressed with bassists playing the 4 strings, I love the sound of the fingers sliding on the strings... Imagine a mature Tal 10 years from now.

Here's Miles' It Never Entered My Mind...

well you will be waiting a while for her.
i dig Tal but her own material is slow coming. Corner painter came out a while ago but still no new album.
sucks

she plays with a lot of other artists but i am not into them really except for Jackson Browne. im not really a Jeff Beck fan.

Some artists take a lot of time to write their own materials, but I'm encourage to see Tal collaborate with other artists and bands from different genres, it will contribute to her musical maturity.
