Following government interference shutting down his planned launch last year “Mad” Mike is back with a new plan to launch his water powered rocket , this time he will launch vertically on private land on 3rd Feb 2018.
“Mad” Mike is hoping to soar 1800 ft into the sky above a ghost town named Amboy in California before returning to terra firma in his rocket with a parachute.
Mike knows his rocket won't get him to space so this is a publicity stunt to try to raise the capital to purchase a balloon and space suit to get him to the edge of space to see for himself the shape of the Earth.

Good luck Mike , I salute your pioneering spirit and wish you all the best for the 3rd and a safe return.

His death will be pointless.

That is all I can say.

He's following a dream , is it better to die doing something you're passionate about and believe in or to die of old age with regrets ?

Not if it is trying to prove flat Earth.

Would it be so noble to blow your head off, to see if bullets are actually soft?

Ummm , no
Not for something wisdom would dictate as absolute foolishness and due to the complete denial of science
But this guy ? I say he should go for it...

As a kid, I was passionate about many silly things I believed in..luckily I didn't die over them and eventually gained knowledge that inevitably made me feel foolish for believing such things

Exactly!! Even though I don’t think the earth is flat, I say live and let live!

You have to be 30k+ feet to even start to see the curvature of the earth...what does a balloon top out at? half that?

Absolutely , physics rules out the possibility of the Earth being flat but Mike is one of those who need to see it for themselves , history is made by those who don't take what they've been told as fact.

Felix Baumgartner saw the curvature of the Earth , I think something like that is what Mike is aiming for.

Except that there are much safer and cheaper ways to do it.

Regardless of survival, I wonder if would be too much for him to see that the earth isn't so flat after all...mind you 1800ft isn't such a good vantage point really, just a bit better than on the ground.

You would need to go about 3,500 miles up to see the complete "globe"
When you are up in the ISS or a space shuttle, you are between 99 and 300 miles up and the earth still appears to look flat, with the horizon still on all sides, fading out into a perspective point of infinity.

Now wouldn't it be hilarious if this dude was actually right?

I mean there's a snowballs chance in hell that it would be the case, given pictures taken from space, among a million other reasons (without considering gravity for reasons I will not disclose).

But what if, ya know? Just a hypothetical question.

I'll just leave it at that.

(and no, I do not believe the Earth is flat, by the way)

Infinite
Infinitely flat, perhaps. Perhaps we could be a bubble of gasses and warmth from some sort of geo-thermal hot-spot that bubbled up from the floor of the sea of the universe, or something.

Either way, this guy is knowingly or not, part of the dis-info campaign to make conspiracy minded people appear to be "crazy". And he will never reach any altitude that you couldn't get to on a plane.
This story is only being hyped because it aides the dis-info campaign.

You know - Pearl Harbor false flag, JFK, Moon Landings, 9/11, NWO, Flat Earth, etc.

Isn't that why we are here? Surely it's not about the stupid chess game of us vs them?

Maybe so,but not by doing something so ignorant, all he would have to do was attach a go pro to a small one,get the same view, and increase chance of survival

I think a lot of people have their obsessions and fascinations no matter how healthy or sane. If he dies, so be it. He'll die doing what he loved and what he invested his curiosities in. Even if it's senseless or a waste of life to the rest of us, if it's something to him that's truly all that matters. If he does perish, we'll never know anyhow if he thought it was worth while or not. All we can do is smile and wish him well- OR scream until we're blue in the face that he's a fool but I don't think it will matter. Good luck to him, while I'm sure he'll find the earth is round, I know he'll enjoy the rare view either way.

Ever hear of Natural Selection? Let him be, I say.

It's people like “Mad” Mike that give the world a bit of colour , he's an eccentric and I think it will be a sad day when the “Mad” Mike's of this world are gone.

I think we should celebrate his crazy stunt and hope that it all goes well , looking forward to the documentary when it's released.

1. Gets to 1800 ft
2. Can't see curvature of Earth
3. Proves Earth is flat

Sounds legit
