Weird Audio Illusion - Hear lyrics where there are none

Hi all,

Came by this strange piece of music.

It's queen played with.. a piano kind of instrument, without voice.

But you get dragged in and actually start to hear voices..

I know..i know.. hearing voices is not a good party opener... but i liked this one!

It's all midi sound, while BH is full of overlays, (impossible to the extreme for Queen being able to do that song live) and by the sound of it the Midi driver is having difficulty too!

My cat used to be able to play better piano than this. Unfortunately she is no longer alive.

Once it goes into the Crescendo. You can clearly hear, voices. At least it seems. Very cool!

I hear a vocoder playing a short sample duration digital piano patch.

The issues with quantization (fine degree note timing) would lead me to believe that the vocoder is feeding MIDI events to the digital piano.

The words are there but being played as 'piano' notes.

The same guy has a heap of these YouTube "audio illusions".

My cat would blow some cool jazz but w/a Sax, maybe both are part of an Ensemble where cool cats go when done cattin' ?

I really liked that crazy digital piano version..... But me and my sister heard no voices, so we started singing it ourselves.

Kind of wish the illusion worked for us oh well!



OKAY FREAKY! At "very very frighting!" we started to hear the "voices" through the piano.

AHHH!!!!!

I often hear music and voices in white noise.
Some of it pretty cool.
The vent fan running while I'm in the shower.
Rain on a tin roof while a box fan is running.
This phenomenon is more common than most people want to admit for fear of being labeled nuts.

same... it can be very convincing sometimes. once i was sure i was hearing a radio from somewhere but then i realized it was the same part of the song over and over again. your brain is really good at filling in the blanks...

I was expecting some kind of vocoder stuff.

This was just annoying as sheet!
