if you have not seen this movie i recommend it. it came out in 07 so if you feel i spoiled it for you sorry.

this move borrows the story of the immortal man, a mr krim rosu(also called krim jacob) from an old romanian legend of the immortal man. a man who has walked the earth for 14,000 years. fantastic sci fi movie.

so now we have the sequel

i have not watched this yet but i have high hopes for it.


on a side note, if anyone has any information or links about the legend of krim rosu please pass it my way. i became fascinated with the legend after watching the first movie so i hit the internet and surprisingly there is very little information out there. i am looking for anything available so it is much appreciated if you find something.

love the man from earth, a unique gem, and a pleasure to have found.

I was on the IMDB forums for it years ago, before they shut the section down and had the pleasure of meeting the son of the man who wrote it.

will definitely have to check this out.

I didn't like the end of this movie.

Leaves the viewer hanging, with lots of unanswered questions.

There was no sense of "completion".

You could see the movie wasn't made by Hollywood.

There's a formula for a Hollywood movie, this film broke the rules.

That's kind of the point. It has no explosions either. That it obviously wasn't done in Hollywood is to its credit.

I agree 100%. I haven't seen this new one but the old one was refreshing in that it was an actual story that drew you in instead of over-the-top unrealistic special effects.

I, too, was fascinated by the first movie and so happy it was truly a scifi thought-provoking movie without a horror element or extreme violence.

long live Walter Jameson. an episode of Twilight Zone from 1960 i believe this movie is some what based off of. when i saw this movie i couldn't help but think i have seen it before.

Not really. Walter Jameson was a Roman citizrn before he became immortal, not a 14,000 year old Cro Magnon. Here is a summary from my blogpost cited above that deals with this:

Loved the 1st, cant wait to see the sequel.

It is an interesting premise, but you'd think if there were such a man or a being they would most definitely have a hand in shaping history and possibly want to get off this rock...
