Look at this reckless action by a Turkish Coast Guard conducting an intercept of Greek Naval ship, to the point they impacted the side hull. Idiots. Greeks should have blown them out of the water. Can anybody see now that Turkey has zero respect for the alliance and needs to be booted from NATO asap?

Video footage shows a Turkish navy ship from the Turkish coast guard intercepting a Greek navy patrol ship near Imia a pair of two small uninhabited islets in the Aegean Sea, situated between the Greek island chain of the Dodecanese and the southwestern mainland coast of Turkey. According to several social media posts the interception was conducted on January 17, 2018 and was filmed by a crewmember of the Turkish navy ship on his cellphone. The video shows the Turkish navy ship apporaching the Greek navy patrol till the point the two ships collide.

This stuff happens all the time at sea and in the air by the Turks.
It’s been happening with full knowledge of NATO who turns a blind eye. Because of Incirlik.

That’s one of the reasons the USA has sided with the Kurds in Syria and is aiding them. The Kurds in Syria claim all of north Syria..

A new ally, new country, means a big new US base and they can cut Turkey lose as a liability. People don’t realise how far gone Turkey is in its Islamisation.
Here’s a twitter status by Turkeys armed forces calling it self the army of Islam..

mobile.twitter.com...

It’s over. Turkey is no longer a western oriented or pro Western country.
It’s removal from NATO is a matter of time not if but when. The closure of Incirlik and withdrawal of US and NATO forces is a matter of time.
And then the hounds will be unleashed on Turkey.
Economic collapse and civil war with the Kurds.
The global corps will pull out and move factories to other cheap labor markets. The tech transfer and sharing that Turkish companies rely on will stop. Etc etc.

The Turks keep playing these games in the Aegean and East Med because they haven’t realised that the USA was using them as a stick against Geeece. But they have now got what they want from Greece, complete access to its natural resources.

In due time and process it will cost Turkey dearly playing these games.
The chickens will come home to roost for Turkey.

I wish, but the biggest prize with Turkey is not Incirlik at all. Its the Bosporous Straight and access to the Black Sea. Without Turkey in NATO, we lose that access. And without good terms with Turkey, Russia's black sea fleet will be cut off from the Mediterranean. I think they both want to figure out a way to dump Turkey, but need that straight. Will there ever be a way?

Recently Erdogan has started questioning old treaties, such as the Treaty of Lausanne, with suggestions that over a dozen Greek Islands belong to Turkey instead. Turkey saying the treaty may need to be revised and so on.
Look up the treaty of Sevres, which was superseded by Lausanne. The straits would be under international control(ie the UN today), and demilitarized.

Where there is a will there is a way.

As I've been saying, for decades the USA/NATO has used Turkey as a stick against Greece. But now the USA/West has got what it wants, control(more or less, as each new exploration area is opened up) of Greece's vast oil and gas reserves(which you haven't been told about yet by the media). So the main reason for pitting Turkey against Greece is gone. Whether they continue to do that is another story.

But in the not too distant future you could find that the role is reversed, as Turkey continues to "go it's own way", and comes under more and more pressure. Remember, the coast of Asia Minor used to be Greek not long ago. Greek's haven't forgotten what the Turks did.

What most people don't realize is that Turkey has grand dreams. It is trying to push the US out of the Middle East by teaming up with Iran and Russia. It sees it self as a neo Ottoman Empire in the making. That's not in US/EU/Israeli interests. Far from it. They wont allow it to come to fruition. What they do to stop it is anyones guess, but I wouldn't be surprised, as I said if they use Greece against Turkey. They have already used the Kurds to lure Turkey into Syria.

Mattis reproves Turkey for Afrin incursion as “boon for ISIS”
Jan 23, 2018 @ 16:20

US Secretary of Defense James Mattis said Tuesday that Turkey’s ground invasion of the Kurdish enclave of Afrin in northern Syria distracts from international efforts to defeat ISIS. Speaking to reporters in Jakarta, he said: “This could be exploited by ISIS and Al-Qaeda obviously, that we’re not staying focused on them right now.” The US and its Kurdish partners, known as YPG are “on the cusp” of fully defeating ISIS in Syria, Mattis said. Humanitarian aid was finally flowing and refugees returning. “The Turkish incursion disrupts that effort.”

This is the first time that anyone in Washington has objected to the Turkish offensive.

Kurdish militia repels Turkish Afrin invasion amid continuing Turkish air blitz

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the Turkish army has so far not gone further than exploratory steps in its campaign against the Kurdish YPG in Afrin. A major offensive with large numbers of foot soldiers and tanks has not taken place as yet. Erdogan appears to be pulling his punches to test whether the US will come to the aid of its Kurdish allies. But the question still open is: Will he go through with his threat to capture Kurdish lands spanning northern Syria from the Turkish border to the Syrian border with Iraq? If he does and succeeds in pulling off this ambitious campaign, Turkish troops will override the region declared just a few days ago as being under American military protection and secured by a new US-trained and armed Border Defense Force of 30,000 men. Will the 2,000 US military personnel deployed in the bases there then intervene? Russia has made its position clear by refraining from interfering with the Turkish air offensive although its forces control the skies over Afrin.

Turkish air strikes against Afrin Kurds. Assad opens roads to Kurdish reinforcements

Russian and American army chiefs conferred urgently Saturday, Jan. 20, about Turkey’s escalating assault on Kurdish Afrin in N. Syria. For the first time in the Syrian civil war, Bashar Assad told his army to let Kurdish reinforcements pass through the main highway from Hasakah and the Aleppo region to come to the aid of the beleaguered Kurdish YPG militia in the northern enclave of Afrin against a threatened Turkish invasion. Turkish attacks escalated to air strikes on Saturday from cross-border shelling Friday. President Tayyip Erdogan’s assault on Afrin was the subject of an urgent phone call from Russian Chief of Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov to the Chairman of the US Chiefs Gen. Joseph Dunford. DEBKAfile reports that they discussed coordinating US and Russian air force conduct over northern Syria after Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim ratcheted up the crisis by report the air strikes and saying, “The destruction of the YPG and PKK has begun.”

Where Debka gets it wrong is saying America declared Afrin under its protection. No quotes on that one. Afrin has never seen any American activity within that canton. The farthest West they are is Manbij. Foreign rivals keep trying to spin it as if we ran with our tails between our legs like the Russians. US troops were never in Afrin, and it was not part of the border protection plan. of course it is still upsetting they are attacking our loyal friends there though.

Turks are losing guys too though. Don't forget to stay up to date with Operation Olive Branch. I try to update daily.

Of course they're losing guys too. They got their asses handed to them by ISIS, a more organized and better disciplined Kurdish force that has had American backing for quite a while now will cause them more hurt then ISIS did.

It's bad news on the economic front too for Turkey..66 international brands/companies have left Turkey already.
FDI has plummeted. On the back of a disastrous summer tourism season.
