New Season of the X Files Starts Tonight

So anyone else here ready for the season premiere of the X Files tonight??
I had to stream the final episode of the last season to catch up on the underline story.
I wonder if they will have any alien - presidential conspiracies related to DJT or HRC.

Yeah, I am trying to feel it...

Back when the x-files was an actual thing, I was only in my early teens and didn't give the slightest s# about conspiracy theories, tbh.

But, I just finshed re-watching season 10 to force myself to even care and get into season 11... since its a show that touches on my current interests... so by definition, I suppose I should like it.

The magic mushroom episode was kind of funny, stupid as they come, but still kinda funny at the same time.

We'll see I guess... Season 11 plays on cable over here in Australia at 8.30pm, in about 16 hours... Lets just hope they pick up their game and at least entice my a little bit...

I'm on holiday's atm and so really need something worth watching...

Good for you, still no release date in the UK

Well i'm hoping that they don't let Dana Scully die. Gillian Anderson already stated that this is probably the last season with her. Reyes and Doggett were not bad but its just not The X-Files without Scully and Mulder. I love The X-Files but maybe it is time to end the series for good.

Why do you presume its Scully thats gonna die?

Isn't it Agent Moulder who's on the verge of death, unless they can get a DNA sample of his long lost son?

Hopefully they go back to riding that whole grey alien angle... I love that kind of s#!

Sadly, Gillian is one of those few kind of stuck up celebs. I've only ever met a handful of them...

Of course, could have been a bad day, but some, it's just even the way they interact with fans, etc.

Others:

Rose McGowan - She's nearly legendary a b*tch at Cons. Last Con I was at that had her, they had to actually CUT her autograph price almost in half....that's nearly unheard of! It was that bad....(doesn't help she's bald now either)

Nieve Campbell - thinks she's an A-lister when maybe a weak B-lister at best.

Mira Furlan (crazy French lady on Lost, and D'Lynn on Babylon 5) - Just rude as can be, and really sees her fandom as a chore. Big difference from her characters.

Considering how many I've met though (nearly 200), that's an amazingly low amount of rude ones, which is why I'm kind of calling her out on it. None of it diminishes the opportunities I've had to meet and talk (and sometimes even drink with) some of my childhood idols.

But, I'll still watch the show. I'm not one to drag personal impressions into what I watch for entertainment.

I hope it's better than the last season. I thought the last season was mostly awful.

Chris Carter needs to employ better writers than himself.

I loved the X files when I was in High School. I was a computer nerd and really enjoyed all the conspiracy and alien stuff. Guess I still do.

A show I liked more than the X Files was Fringe (the J.J. Abrams Show).
I would like to see them bring that one back.

Fringe was awesome. It really was a reincarnation of the X Files. The guy who played Walter is nothing like his character though, but still very pleasant. That would be a good show to binge watch...

I didn't care for the whole amber storyline all that much, but prior to that, the show was fantastic.

I thought it was pretty good!

There may be “the quest” thing going on; it may be a dream (all in Scully’s head); or we may have to wait a another week to find out... classic X-files!

I’ll be watching!!

I gotta say that episode was weird.

* Mulder and the other agent brothers!!
*Mulder and the other agent are sons of the Smoking Man!!
* the freaking Cancer Mans now back to being called the freaking 'Smoking Man!!'.

Im drunk but there was way more inconsistency in the episode.

My theories are;
1. Its all in Scully's or Mulders mind.(internally or external manipulation.)
2. Scully has somehow transported to a parallel world. But back in time. (No explanation of where the real Scully is, so problematic)
3. Aliens... nuff said.

Still have to watch it....was too busy making some extra money last night....

(we closed our tack shop, but still have a lot of inventory....due to the cold weather, sold most of my horse blankets last night for some cash).

I was wrong about parallel reality! It was actually a "computer simulation"!!

And yes, we have Russians as bad guys! That was a pretty good explanation given by Skinner as to why they have been brought in.

I don't know about anyone else but I am digging the X-files!
