The Dept. of Biology, at either the U. of Ohio,or Iowa, and Dean, Prof. Emeritus, Charles Berry, aka Dr. Berry, in our Church congregation, retired to our town, much later. He headed up the search for the cause of that disease?? He told me that over time, somewhere, some organism, will find a way to metabolize any elemental molecule, found in nature. It took these scientists a long while to figure out just how this worked in the weeds at the bottom of that bay. Then I had an uncle, who passed in 1983, who worked over the swordfish found frozen in the Arctic, which had mercury deposits in it's nose. It had been dead for around 400 years, so modern industrial wastes had nothing to do with it.

It was a Nez Perce Indian tribal member, & "activist", who told me about the Fed's head's up, on Okosk's releases. The Nez Perce tribe has it's own fish hatcheries, and they were told to not get too enamored about raising androymous, " migrating" salmon, and Steelhead trout. Read this; Radiation cannot be allowed to poison off the entire Pacific Northwest of the U.S.A. And by the time the fisheries bring it up the rivers, it's already been concentrated a million times, over background radiation in the oceans.

Minamota was a simpler and shorter food chain, but eating those tiny minnows, all day long, seven days a week, concentrated it, all the same, in the bodies of the Japanese civilians. And this wasn't metallic mercury, but rather mercurial compounds trapped in the tiny, dried, minnows's food sources. Those minnows never made it long enough to be preyed on by larger fish. So it took a long time to figure out how that trace poison, caused so much trouble for the local Japanese. Minamato is a warm water bay, while the North Pacific is anything but. So it's going to be a much longer food chain, working up to Salmonids.

Fish have been exposed to naturally occurring poisons like mercury since the first fish swam the oceans. Are you saying it's not safe to eat fish, period end of subject?

If radiation were an issue we would have known, long, long ago. Have you forgotten the tests in the Pacific?

Sounds like activist banter to me, which is seldom if ever reality.

I'd be open to reading peer reviewed studies from credible sources about the radiation, because the FDA is not aware of any it seems?

Are you opposed to commercial fishing?

Jeez, I wrote that my late uncle, he passed in 1983, worked on the frozen swordfish, from the Arctic Ice, which had the same mercury as the Alarmists found in current living specimens of that breed. Radiation, per se, doesn't just jump into the biosphere. It hitch hikes, along with the isotopes, which exhibit normal chemical affinities. The Minamoto seaweed organisms, understood they were metabolizing mercury. But the food chains in the Pacific leading up to our giant species of Salmonids, don't have a clue about concentrating deadly radiation. They merely metabolize the chemical "mules", so to speak.

IN our Nevada Atomic Testing, strawberries in Downers Grove, Il. next to the Argonne Nat'l Labs, concentrated airborne radiation 10 to the Seventh Power. And the only thing special about Downer's Grove, was that my uncle had a neighbor, who got suspicious, and went around testing all kinds of things for radiation, about two weeks after one really large A bomb test in Nevada. He's the guy who found that the big red Coca Cola machine in the Argonne commissary was "Red Hot", and that one didn't come from any testing in Nevada.

I heard of the "Red Hot" Coke machine in college, but they never told the students where it was. That was classified, and probably still is. Some bad players tried to poison off an entire crew at one of our Atomic Labs, back in the Fifties. And those bad players were selling Coca Cola products. Needless to say, that Coke Machine disappeared, and the Fed's went after everyone who helped stock it.

This time with the coming of these radioactive Salmonids, the Fed's are giving Indian activists a heads up, over the impending loss of their treaty fisheries. So just like that Red Hot Coca Cola machine, they will have to be "disappeared".

Please read my posts a little more carefully.
