Fake news, that pilot was shot down over Syria two years ago....they're still decontaminating a 100 mile stretch of the flight path from biological material as it was found one of the aircrafts engines had foot and mouth disease and was responsible for a number of chemtrails in the area.

Or am I suffering a Marmalade effect and that didn't happen?

It is well known that Santa delivers the presents and sits in the sleigh. I can assure you that while Santa may be holding the reigns but it is Rudolf and the other Reindeer that are actually doing the flying and Rudolf could be said to be the Pilot. That makes Santa a typical flying passenger although he does get very busy.

You may see him on radar but don't annoy him. He has Pixie Dust, Moon Dust and Elven long range magically enhanced arcane explosive arrows.

Don't get started on the defense systems including poop bombing by the Reindeer.

Then there are all of those empty bottles.
