It isn't hip hop. It's just called that for lack of a better term right now. What Peep did was combine parts of emo pop punk and trap music, and it works.

You and a lot of people may not like it or understand it, and that's fine. It definitely isn't for everyone. I'm not expecting Ghostface or Nas when I throw on a Lil Peep record, it's a completely different type of music and vibe.

I'm not hating on it but it's for sure not hip hop. I really don't like new American music but im not someone who hates on people for their music preferences.
