Saw it yesterday and it was by far more of a comedy than it was an action movie...I really did enjoy it and hope some of the characters introduced stick around..Spiderman is a drama compared to Ragnarok...but if you go in knowing that you will have a great time...

Yeah, i used to be really into comics. Gotta say I'm more of a marvel fan.

And d.c. has just ruined batman for me. I can't stand ben affleck's dumb face.

I blame movie companies more than the actual comic book companies.

20th Century Fox really screwed up Fantastic Four and most of the X-men, Sony was messing up Spider-man and especially Warner Bros., who was doing fairly decent with Nolan's Batman series. The more recent ones have been trying to compete with Marvel and really have been the worst superhero movies I have ever seen!

Marvel used the writers and editors of comic books as writers, producers or consultants instead of coke'd up Hollywood producers and directors...lol

They planned out a shared universe which is what makes the comics successful they have kept very faithful to the interpretations of the characters, plots and continuity which DC seems like just a hodgepodge.

I might see Justice League, but only because Wonder Woman was fairly decent (same plot as Captain America...) I have yet to see Suicide Squad as I couldn't even follow Batman vs. Superman ugh! Oddly I don't even remember it...maybe I blocked it out...sad!

Nolan's films were the best thing to happen to live action superhero movies.

Just walked out of Thor Ragnarok.

Like.....walked out mid-movie.

Tried too hard to be funny.

Wasn't.

The only thing I felt like I'm missing out on now is ten bucks.

My experience was exactly the opposite. I found it to be an outstanding movie with a nice mix of action and comedy. I have zero complaints on this one, and to date I thought the Thor movies were the weakest in the MCU. That's now changed... Iron Man's stand alone so are now collectively the worst in the MCU.

I'll be the first to confess I liked the first two immensely.

Seeing a "bright and colorful" Thor movie just seemed weird, and it's also the first time I've seen an installment outside of the house.

Honestly, when Thor Ragnarok comes out on Redbox I'll be renting it for a home viewing with my husband. Seeing him laugh will be worth my ticket price ten times over. He's got extreme social anxiety so there was no way he'd go to a theater showing.

Theaters are awkward for me as well, and the viewing room for this one was unbelievably tiny....I've been thinking the past couple days that maybe it wasn't so much the movie, but the cramped environment that was making me uncomfortable.....I left soon after the landing on the DayGlo planet. Bright colors also tend to make me uncomfortable for some reason.

I've been having second thoughts and really want to know the ending now.

I mean, millions can't be wrong, right?

Loved 'immigrant song' in the fight scenes. Loved the special effects.

Felt the big bad wolf should have had more playtime though.

hey may be overdoing it with the humor though

Just saw it and Yep it felt like it was a spoof on itself and trying to hard to have a galaxy of the gaurdians feel to it.

It was a step below meh at best IMO, but I'm burnt out on comic movies.

My wife who is a Thor fan (I wonder why, lol?) was wondering if we were watching the right movie and not a comedy spoof of it.
Although I think Korg (rock guy) stoled the show.

General Eyes,

are you from the States?

After watching it, I said people not from Australia and New Zealand wont get the comedy or think its a bit over the top.

Its like certain styles of British comedy that I find hard to grasp to be laughed at and think its more stupid than comedy.
