Agreed. A petition recently achieved almost 3x the number of votes required for Presidential consideration.

Sadly, the POTUS can't repeal the NFA alone, but he could order and direct the ATF to change the definitions of NFA items. For instance, he could force the ATF to redefine a machinegun as "any weapon capable of reaching the moon with its projectile" instead of one that "fires more than one shot per pull of the trigger."

He could also order and direct the ATF to reclassify "suppressors" as "silencers" thereby only counting as an NFA item if the "silencer" totally and completely "silences" the weapon @0db (as opposed to making it just barely quiet enough to not cause ear damage - as suppressors do).
