Why does the Government care about Baseball?

Someone help me out here. Why does the Government care whether Jason Giambi uses steriods or not? I can't figure out how the Grand Jury is involved in this private matter. Why do we need a Grand Jury to be involved in a simple drug use matter? Players use drugs all the time and the Grand Jury doesn't step in. What's going on? It seems to me the Government is getting further and further into the private sector and futher away from controlling itself. We are at War based on a lie, the vice president was involved in corporate scandal that ripped off the American people and he is still allow to hold office, and the Grand Jury thinks that steriods in baseball is a top priority???? Please help me understand this because it's pissing me off.
