I did my best to sketch this symbol I saw yesterday in a dream. I saw this symbol during an episode of sleep paralysis (of which I have talked about numerous times here on ATS.)

I have not had SP in a long time actually, maybe only a handful of times in recent years.

This I remember though, my eyes were open and I was essentially hallucinating while asleep. It was daytime (long night before) and enough light filled my room so that I could see my surroundings.

With eyes open, I was fixed on the image of a golden pearl with a marking on it. I also remember thinking to myself something like "It's not fair that we can't see," in a very literal sense, like with our eyes. I was commenting on bad vision or blurriness or something. Not sure..

Whether eyes open or closed in the black, I could see this gold orb in between my eyes. But what the heck is the symbol??

I looked through a couple different things like runic symbols but didn't quite find a match.

Have you ever seen this symbol? Have you ever found a symbol in a dream? Did you ever find out what it means? Please share!

I haven't seen that symbol but just last night experienced an episode for the first time in over a year. Dark figures in the doorway. . .

Awake or asleep?

Dark figures in the doorway more or less is what led me to ATS.

I was conscious, yes. I don't remember what woke me. My wife was laying in my right shoulder. Along with the visual was the auditory hallucination. Like radio static. Kept trying to yell at her but of course nothing came. After about 2 - 3 mins I just rolled over and went back to sleep.

I haven't had one in so long i forgot how scary they are.

Maybe around 3am this morning.

Can you describe any details about these figures?

Ah. It's fuzzy in my memory now. One smaller, in the foreground. One tall and slim behind it. Felt like they were moving closer. Definite sense of dread coming over me. But no real discernible features that i could make out. Almost like shadows.

Dreams are representative . But only to the person that dreams them.
Look deep inside yourself and research and you will find your answer.

Usually I agree, when it comes to dream imagery and interpretation.

This was a very distinct symbol though. And I am curious to see if it exists in the real world. So you might call this one approach to my research, silly!

I've had similar experience seeing strange symbols and gestures in dreams, so I know where you're coming from.

at first glance it looks like a coin from a video game. I did a reverse image look up on tineye and google images.

Tineye returned no results. Google just gives you a bunch of graphic design icons. Some look similar.

Here is the google image search link google reverse image search

Yeah I had tried that as well. It's the black marks I'm looking for specifically in that orientation. They do look similar to some runes, but not exactly.

Oh well, maybe it's nothing after all, such as life.

Not silly . Would that be considered research ? Yep. If you find it online you will know what it is . But the meaning would be for you to decide.
Yeah , I was a dream interpreting fan in the 70s. Interesting topic.

It looks very similar (but not exactly the same) to the Paleo-Hebrew letter "heh". It literally means to behold, or to look, as in calling attention to an object. In Hebrew, it is often used as a definite article, or as a vocative when prefixing a person's name.

Paleo-Hebrew, Proto-Canaanite, Phoenician, and a host of other Semitic languages all shared very similar (sometimes identical) script. So maybe what you saw was an early version of "heh".

Here is a comparative table of various dialects of Ancient Hebrew and Aramaic.

Looks like it most resembles Samaritan script.
