I'd edging towards yet another attack.. but not as premeditated.

They're not questioning him, they're actively detaining him. IOW, he's still a threat.

this is getting beyond a joke if it is the case.

I am edging towards another attack but right now its impossible to say, police say they are still trying to establish the circumstances.

Do you have any other links? I'm basing my thoughts off the OP and the video/images in the link.

These people are ruining everything. I'd rather we got rid of the nutcases than had bollards and antivehicle traps cluttering up every nice place to be.

Sky news are saying that Counter-Terror police are "assessing" the incident.

As far as I am aware, in a situation like this, since vehicles have been used as weapons in the initial stages of an assault, the tendency on the part of responding officers, is to control the suspect, get them carted off to the police station, then try and work out the details from there. The reasons for this are many, but include the following.

1) If they remove the suspect from play, whether hes a bad driver or a deliberately dangerous one, he is neutralised in either case, and can do no more harm.

2) Getting him off the streets quickly, prevents any mob of people gathering and jumping to conclusions, maybe attacking the suspect and complicating an already tense situation.

3) Getting the suspect off and away quickly prevents details about them escaping their bubble of informational security as quickly as it might in other scenarios.

Sky news has just said that someone has mention someone with a knife. If so its an attack for sure! Police with guns went into the tube, maybe to pursue someone

That still wouldn't make it an attack. This location in near South London where gang culture is rife.

This is nowhere near South London where gang culture lurks.

As to the incident... could just be a guy lost control of his car but after recent events, it wouldn't surprise me if it's another attempt to kill using a car in an act of terrorism.

Drugged/drunk and perhaps on the polices ANPR system and fancies a chance to get away and just floors it and probably will in the morning regret everything would be my first thought due to lack of religious speaking.

Having been around London the quality of the driving probably improves when they've had a few beers and a joint and with police cuts always happening the odds of getting picked up for being naughty do reduce.

The fact that this guy hit a street-sign first (according to many early reports) suggests that he wasn't aiming at people, if he was even aiming at anything at all.

Er.. yes it is near South London. You could be in Brixton, Clapham or vauxhall within 15 minutes from there..
Also a slight clue would be in the post code.. SW7.. i.e south west 7

Well, it's near to South London in as much as it is in London. But it's north of the river, in Kensington, and even the nearest boroughs of the south, like Clapham and Vauxhall, are waaay off base for the scrotes that think they are the kings of Peckham and Norwood.

The river flows through the borough of Kensington and chelsea. Just south of this location. Cross the river and your in South London.
Probably less than 2 miles as the crow flies.

Norwood and peckham are far south but Brixton, Clapham, Stretham have massive gang culture.

Not terror related

An incident outside a London museum that left 11 people injured was not terror-related, police say.
A car hit several people outside the Natural History Museum in Exhibition Road, South Kensington, at 14:20 BST.
The Metropolitan Police said one person had been detained and video footage that emerged on Twitter showed a man being restrained on the ground.
An update from the force said the incident was now being treated as "a road traffic collision".

I'm telling ya South Kensington is nowhere near Brixton or Clapham.

Kensington is situated close to Hyde Park.

Clapham is situated way further South and Brixton even further away.

Clapham is 2.9 miles as the crow flies and 4.2 miles driving from the natural history museum.

I rest my case..

Just a interesting observation.

Isn't it interesting how if this was terror related it would be seen as big news, a big event, yet now that it transpires that it was not terrorist related then the story starts to die out.

That's exactly how we're being controlled. Even if this was a person with religious ideologies against the west, it will be suppressed. No one came forth to say they heard the perpetrator let loose with "Aloha Snackbar". He may have been shouting it in the car.
