That would put you outside of the bounds of the law. You do not have the right to kill people to protect your stereo or your TV. People like you are what people like me are trying to teach everyone else To avoid. Responsible gun owner ship is not to be infringed upon. But idiots who talk about killing looters should not have guns, I agree.

Ummm...so your Grandmother whom you referenced...should not have the recourse to own a gun to protect herself from a knife wielding looter...

So...if someone breaks into your or your Grandmothers home...you first have to ask them if they're only there to loot...or if they're there for more nefarious reasons...say...to eat all your food...have mad passionate sex with your goldfish...or just to homestead in your living room...

Then...after having had this long involved conversation on the behavioral aspects of the common urban home invader...you calmly make a decision to...(A) ask them if they'd like grey poupon with your salami...or if it might be alright to...say...put a cap in they ass...

For consistencies sake...of course...

Thank you for sharing.

After watching the clip it is tough to deny there is institutional racism within law enforcement.

Or perhaps law enforcement is aware of statistical data? You know, percentages, probability, propensity?

It's not racism. The compiled data provides the safest way to interact with certain groups.

It's the denial of facts and the unwillingness to CHANGE that requires everything to be racist as it pertains to people who chose criminality as a cultural virtue.

I'm probably racist for having posted this comment.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

I know of many friends who are minorities and open and conceal carry. No one seems to mind. You really believe that only White people are for Gun Rights?

Nope but if more minorities started walking around with those weapons (which is their right), watch society freak out.

Also i f BLM wants something done about cops, they need to get the message out that it happens to white people to. Showcase this problem and how it happens to white people and watch society freak out again and flood congress with calls.

The movement is literally called BLM..

Black Lives Matter..

Not

All Life Matters..

How would they benefit by highlighting police interactions with whites that go wrong?

The whole crux of their argument is this stuff doesn't happen to white people..

What did OP generalize? All he/she claimed was that enough people would have a problem that laws would be changed. What was the generalization? It's a thought-crime for him to say that?

I see you think he's wrong, but you're both entitled to your opinions. What if before the election I'd have said 88% of blacks will vote for Hillary Clinton? I guess I'm a horrible racist, look at me generalizing.

a reply to: joemoe

Yeah, I think I agree. And racists would just be more stubborn about keeping their own guns, to defend themselves with.

Pre-crime?

Guilt before innocence??

What justification would their be?

I've recently purchased a number of weapons. Got some great deals and my family is all into cross bows now as well as firearms.

Whatever law does pass, it'll be a restriction on freedoms we currently have, and will do nothing towards the criminals who ignore the law anyway.

Sigh...the emotional responses continue. If those for more gun control would stick to facts and keep the emotion out of it, I think you’ll find common sense changes will occur rather quickly.

Unfortunately, there is one side that acts purely on emotion* and can’t seem to understand you can’t legislate evil.

*That would be those of the HRC, Kimmel, Noah, etc., ilk.

The average person, not a collector, doesn't purchase the numbers of rifles ammo etc this guy did in 9 months time. We need a system that can alert authorities so they can at least look into it.

imo.

Sorry deleted post before your reply, misunderstood subject.

Minorities across the country start open carrying AR-15 or similar type of weapons, to white business's and watch the flood of complaints and watch congress get right on it.

The generalization is where he insinuated that if minorities open carry into WHITE businesses that would cause action because the WHITE people would have problems with it...because it was minorities. Are you being dense on purpose or can you just not help it?

What would be the justification for the search warrant?

A guy bought a bunch of guns?

How about bullets?

Should we panic whenever someone buys more than a box?

This, again, will impact law abiding citizens and criminals will just cheat the system and avoid exposure.

So you equate "common sense" to discrimination against minorities? That's actually racist... like for real.

I think the OP was implying it's common sense to leverage white people's fears about race.

No, I think OP is clearly projecting their own racist hangups onto society as a whole. It's brutally obvious he/she is saying "I'd crap myself if minorities started open carrying and I saw it, thus I assume the rest of white America would do the same and we could use our racism to deprive them of their 2nd Amendment rights." It's as plain as day that this OP's suggestion is racist AF.

As someone who regularly go to the range. I can burn 1000+ round in a day easily. People who do not shoot really do not understand that.

Then how about you? You own and open carry? Or do you have your concealed carry license?

Or do you just walk around now every-day, everywhere with a shotgun or rifle over your shoulder?

Which one are you personally?

Sorry, I see no potential infringement on law abiding citizens nor harm in making data already existing available to authorities in a database that can alert them to unusual activities and possibly prevent future tragedies.

But that's just me.

That guy could have done the same damage with just 1 gun.

Not when modified.

When modified to fire like an automatic those rifles are notoriously known to overheat, malfunction and irreparably jam. That happens, you're done, unless you have backup rifles ready.

He had to have backup rifles, and modified rifles to do the damage he done.

imo.

You obviously didn't watch the video and you obviously have limited firearm knowledge. The weapons he had were very high quality. And he didn't fire anywhere near what these guys do.
