I thought this deserved its own thread because if it turns out to be true it really throws a wrench in him being an extreme leftie.

According to the Post Paddock tried to rent a room overlooking the Life is Beautiful Festival, headlined by Chance the Rapper the week before the massacre but could not get the right room.

A country music festival and a rap festival are two completely different demographics and I dont think it could be more different left to right.

If he was willing to shoot up a bunch of black people at a rap concert or white people at a country concert maybe he is ISIS.

Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock may have had another target in mind.

Last weekend, he tried to rent a room overlooking a music festival a few miles away from the scene of his carnage Sunday, a law-enforcement source told The Post.

But Paddock couldn’t get a room that looked out onto the Life is Beautiful Festival, headlined by Chance the Rapper and Lorde and held in Sin City Sept. 22-24, the source said.

What is this "May Have Tried"

Either he did try and there is a trail or it is just rumor.

Also, this guy seems to have traveled extensively and stayed in many a hotel.

Another thing that doesn't add up is if the "girlfriend and family" are to be believed, he sent her away because he was going to do this insanity.

So, unless he was sending her away in September as well...

I think he was seeing the routine of things and casing it out.

Its thought he sent his girlfriend out of town to start preparing for his attack.

Can you imagine an affidavit in court with such fake news style wording?

They would be laughed out of the room.

"May have, I have an anonymous source, believe me it's good, he's with law enforcement"

I was wondering how he got the room that had two windows facing in different directions on the corner edge of the hotel. I know you can ask for a room on an upper floor, but not in a particular location. It must have just been a coincidence.

If true, it would rule out the anti-Trump angle.

No need to think . If you are a known high stakes gambler in Vegas , you can ask for ANY room . And treated like royalty.

But not the anti gun angle.

If he was seeking out other venues, kind of takes away from the undercover-FBI agent.

Unless the FBI regularly sells weapons to IS using Stephen Paddock as the middleman, using public hotels exclusively when concerts are happening underneath of the hotels.

OP
Just as a FYI
If it says "source(s) said" think of me first as if I was the "source" - game changer there.

What about all the other times he stayed in Las Vegas over a 25 year span? Surely there was an outdoor festival or concert close to where he was staying on many of those occasions.
