Signs in the stars

God said in Genesis, that the moon and the stars were made as signs for us to pay attention too. And Jesus clarified this in his teaching. I believe we are ever so close for the return of Jesus Christ. More so than ever before.

Hurricanes, earthquakes, and how the world seems to have gone completely mad. Jesus did say, when these things happen more often, then the time is near.

Luke 21:25 (KJV) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

The solar eclipse of August was the 21st, and the landfall of Harvey was the 25th. I do not find any of these things a quintessence. GODs word is true and truth.

The Universe follows the laws of physics. It does not seem to waiver if any way from that fact.

I think reading religious texts as some kind of spiritual metaphor is still valid. But to say the sun, the moon, and the stars in the sky are "signs" is superstitious nonsense. If you look at the clouds floating by you will see animal shapes!

We should not be so naive to think that we understand the laws of the universe.

Quantum mechanics for one shows that all the universe is connected with everything in it, and each thing can affect another, no matter their distance. The ancient art of astronomy tells us that the great energy and movement of the celestial bodies affect us as energetic beings as it does our surroundings and cycles of life.

A new moon is a sign of the new month . There are markings of the equinox that is a sign marking seasons as part of the year . The Consolations also mark out long epochs of time . Todays constellations differ from yesteryear's ...I think its Libra and Scorpio that was once called the dragon constellation ...today we look at them in a much different context then peoples of the past ...just saying

Apart from my opinion about the OP, just a sidenote: you might be confusing 'clock' with 'time'. Time is time, and it flows regardless of clocks. Detroying all clocks would not stop time.

Still, you can use a clock to see 'where' in time you are. Likewise, astrologers use the position of (virtual!) planets and stars to determine influences on people, places or events. It are not the planets / stars that influence - you won't find many modern astrologers that believe this - it is merely that there is a strong correlation between the calculation of their position and whatever causes the influence.

Why do you call the planets virtual? And if it is not these giant vessels of energy ie stars, that influence people and events what is it?
