Merry Christmas one and all!
Tis not much, but, vagrant storyteller that I am, I hope it will be enough to warm your hearts and show you I am here. Not a Bush person, no, I stand
guard at the door like a statue... But I digress. Hope you all enjoy...
The moon hung with a solitary grace, sending smiles and moonshine down to all upon the many realms she shone her face on. She was full of
love, and the light she sent down was full of magic and wonder, even for a place like the Shed where such things were commonplace. The moon was
always full of spirit, and cheer, but the mortal beings were celebrating what they called, Christmas... She looked and looked in the many realms she
knew, but could not find the one known as Saint Nick, nor his little raindeer. Instead, she saw the mortals themselves giving each other presents, and
kindness, and love. She wondered why they bothered with the whole saint nick thing anyways, when they were the ones that made Christmas, truly
Christmas.
The snow danced from the clouds above, singing a song only the wind knows. They didn't know it was Christmas, but every crystal shone with an energy
above the norm. Lucid Gazed around him, listening to the moon and the snow, and the beings of this world, accasia. He tried to tune himself in to
nature, to hear the very worlds view on Christmas. He set pen to the page and was off again.
There- was that the stirrings of a hoof in the sky? And that- wasn't that just the quietest whinny? Of a sudden, there it was- bright red across the
silent night- Santa's sleigh, with all of his reindeer! Lucid gasped, and stumbled back in the snow; the clouds murmured to themselves and the snow
skipped a beat. Up on her perch, the moon gathered herself to see what was going on in the shed. It couldn't be- he didn't exist(!), but it was...
Saint Nick! Suddenly laughter boomed through the sky, as the moon doubled in size and the very wind came alive with songs of life. "HO, HO, HO" lucid
watched as Santa landed on the roof of the shed, and, with a wink, as if they were conspirators, grabbed his sack and put a finger to his nosed and
positively zoomed down the chimney. Lucid gaped- and then ran to the shed, a breathless, wild run full of joy at the simple movement. He dashed
through the door with a leap and a shout "Santa is here, everyone, wake up, Wake up!" He dashed through the house, and through each room. "Santa is
come, with presents for all!"
Suddenly the air was yawns and stretches, as a sleepy ensemble followed Lucid into the living room. "I think someone hit the bottle a little too hard"
someone said, and another laughed. Lucid looked around wildly, Santa had just been here! He dashed to the door and threw himself out, and stood
looking at the sky. But alas, the moon had went back to her normal size, the snow longer danced or sang. Everything was normal, and people decided to
go back to bed. Softly, so soft he thought it was just wishful thinking, he heard "merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!" Lucid shook his
head and decided to go to bed. Maybe he had had too much to drink, after all. But the moon just smiled.
