In Memory of blupblup

12 months ago tomorrow argentus brought us the shocking news that ATS member blupblup had died following a standard medical procedure that had gone wrong , following the death of woodwardjnr just a few months earlier an already numb membership had to come to terms with the fact that another much loved long standing member had been lost.

blupblup still holds a place in my heart and memory and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying he is still missed today , he was smart , errudite and always willing to stand his ground and argue for what he believed , he was blupblup.



Rest in peace brother , we miss you.

I took a break from ATS and on my return several members I liked had either been banned or dissapeared.

Blupblup was one I noticed was missing but not banned so thought he might have taken some time out and would come back at some point so to learn he is gone is a bit of a shock.

RIP mate.

We joined right around the same time.

I had an Arsenal avatar he gave me a hard time about, and i ripped into his Reds on occasion, but we also recognized the talent each Team had...that also translated into our posts, as we did disagree on a few subjects, but always did it with respect.

The word Integrity comes to mind when i think about him.

Thank you for the reminder Gortex.

RIP Blup, Woody and all those respected and loved members who contributed here.

It's always shocking to me that people I have never met in person have such an emotional impact on me just through their words on a screen. I guess it's not unlike pen pals of the digital age. blupblup, woodwardjnr, when we found out about Benevolent Heretic's stroke...

Hell, I was worried about you for a while there, too, non.
Hope life has settled down some for you.

It's weird, yet comforting the relationships we forge on ATS.

It doesn't seem like a year has gone by while at the same time time it feels like ages. I like to think he's still fighting the good fight from beyond.

It's a crying shame more members can't reflect the grace and style of blupblup!

RIP blupblup. Never spoke to him, but I can tell he was highly thought of.

I still very much miss him. He was one of the funniest and most genuine people on here.

Good call on the thread

He was a cool guy and respected by some of the best on ATS. Quality is never forgotten.

He made me laugh. He called me out when I needed it. And at times could drive me right crazy....but I do miss him. to you blup.

There were some of us goofing around in a poetry thread about a week prior.
It was a blast and he made me laugh out loud!
He and his posts are missed.
