This is window dressing to make the otherwise brutal House of Saud seem all warm and fuzzy
The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.
The laws of unintended consequences may come into play and unleash social or societal forces which the Saudi Regime will not be able to control.
In the event of the laws unintended consequences coming into play, the Saudi Regime will face a choice, either they accept the winds of change or
undertake a Tiananmen Square type crack down. I am not yet convinced the Saudi regime is willing to undertake genuine social reforms around women's
rights, and hence the regime will eventually fall.
