ANTIOCH, TN (WSMV) -
Metro Police have identified the shooter at an Antioch church who killed one person in the parking lot and wounded six others inside the building's sanctuary.
Police said Emanuel Kidega Samson, 25, shot and killed a woman in the parking lot of Burnette Chapel Church of Christ on Pin Hook Road in Antioch as the church dismissed at 11:15 from morning services.
Police identified the woman killed as Melanie Smith, 39, of Smyrna.

My hometown was absolutely shocked and still in shock when Emanuel K. Samson shot and killed at least one woman and injured 7 more including himself this morning while they attended church.
This is of course an ongoing investigation with many unanswered questions. The man lived about 25 minutes away. Why this church? Also, he seems to be an articulate college student or graduate from Africa who was into health and fitness with a love of God.
Last few posts on his Facebook account were right before the shootings all related to God.
