David Meade, who claimed the world is ending Saturday when a mysterious planet collides with Earth, is now backtracking on the calamitous claim.

Meade said the world won't end on Sept. 23 after all, but instead Saturday will only mark the beginning of a series of catastrophic events to occur over several weeks.

“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he told the Washington Post. “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”

To me David Mead is a fraud and a misleading prophet. He is leading people the wtong way and away from GOD.

I agree that he is a fraud. However leading people away from God is the best unintended consequence I could hope for. Hopefully people will see that blind faith is not a pathway to truth. Ever.

David Meade is certainly a fraud, and a con man. It saddens me to think that he's taking advantage of people with this hogwash.

Everyone will be fine so long as I don't move the old sofa in my basement.

The world as we know it IS changing, but the world has always been changing just a little bit every day since it's very birth. Ask someone around 100 years old if the world is currently ANYTHING like the world at the time they were born and you will know this is absolutely true! Hell, I was born 50 years ago and much of the world holds very little resemblance to the world I was born into!
