"Trained" fighters seem to know what's worth fighting for. I'll leave it at that!

be a role model for both kids and adults.

His children clearly love him, he's got a supermodel wife, billions of dollars, and is the freaking president of the US of A... if that's not being a role model, I honestly don't know what is. Hell, I wanna grow up to be like him.

Yet other parents strive to not be the type of parent he was. Must not be that great a role model.

And let me tell you something, from someone who grew up in a similar household... it's not a good environment for kids. Trump acts like a candyland dad and provides things, but with the work schedule he ran, he wasn't there for them. Go look at what his kids say... they remember specific moment where there dad was there, because there were so few.

One word, "female". Pretty much answered your own question.
edit on 20-9-2017 by murphy22 because: Didn't want to confuse anyone with misspelled word. Educated folk, have a hard time understanding the "jist of it", when one does that.

Ah, and what are your qualifications to judge the standards others choose to live to?

There's many metrics I can judge his lifestyle on. Do you actually want to have a debate on it, or are you just commenting because of the other thread?

The simplest judge, is that Trump views money as a score. Anything that increases wealth, increased your score, and was therefore a winning move in the game of life. Every time his womanizing and mouth have gotten the better of him, he has lost donations, lost court cases, or settled out of court, losing money. By his own value system, these actions are negative.

He wasn't POTUS at the time, nor did he realize he was on camera. Furthermore, he's a human, not a Vulcan or a machine. I'm much more comfortable with someone real in the position rather than someone who seems to maintain rigid self control 24/7. Speaking one's mind is something I value.

He's wanted to be President since the 80's, he's been running since the 90's. Once you decide to run, you should hold yourself to the standards of the office. He couldn't even do something that simple.

Well now...

William Jefferson Clinton left a trail of sexual abuse allegations and infidelity in his wake on the way to the White House...
George W Bush did a lot of drug, booze, and was a notoriously foul mouthed individual before taking the oath of office.
Barack Obama was videotaped prior to being elected, displaying his pants covered erection to a plane of female reporters and secretaries before taking the office.

How far back do we need to go to find an actual example of these "presidential standards" that were actually being lived up to rather than being simply looked back on with blind nostalgia?

Obviously, you never plaid Candyland to win! It must've just been a game to you? Hope you didn't teach your kids that. Life ain't fun and that's the "fun" of it. ... Games are "plaid" to WIN! Can't even imagine how docile your children will be as "voters".

I'm commenting because I find your selective application of when personal judgement matters and when it doesn't to be hypocritical.

Does it upset you liberals that Mayweather has more sense than you. See people that actually work and bust their butts to be successful all feel the way he does, It is easy to be for open borders and giving money away when it is not your money, only problem with that is you will eventually run out of other people's money.

and bragging about sexual assault

Can we please stop with the "sexual assault " talk... He clearly says "when your a star, they let you do it", that is consent.

Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient.

But you knew that.

For anyone who makes the "I've been in rec center handball league for 10 years now and we NEVER hear this type of stuff in a locker room... calling it locker room talk is such a cop-put" crowd, I only can say bullcrap.

www.si.com...

The NFL locker room is the ultimate boys club. Yes, we talk about horrendously inappropriate things.

Why have there been so many lawsuits from female reporters about hostile conversations they overheard covering professional sports from the lockers?

My God, Peyton freaking Manning, the squeaky clean all American was once charged with dropping his pants and ramming his bare ass and scrote into a female trainer's face...

Let's cut the disingenuous horsecrap and false narrative that locker rooms aren't man caves where men say socially inappropriate things, laugh at offensive humor, talk about their conquests, and behave in manners that the average workplace would immediately fire someone for. It's the locker room... and the major sports in this country, football, baseball, basketball, and hockey are testosterone driven activities.

NFL players are not the president of the United States (not yet, anyway).

President Elizabeth Dwayne.... I can see the day coming.

Floyd on Grabbing Pootang? No, we don't all talk or thing like that. At all. Are you arguing that the average man on the street believes that he has some privilege that enables him to walk up to random women and grab them by their genitals? That's called sexual assault. But what do you expect from a guy with a history of domestic abuse?

Have you ever been in a locker room before? I'm seriously starting to doubt that you have.

Can we please stop pretending like (some) people, a disproportionate cross section of the population, actually talk like/about that when they are in certain environments?

Because we all know they do.

I heard that kind of talk in a locker room. In high school. In the last twenty years being in locker rooms at fitness gyms, pools, etc it is easy for me to say no one would speak like that and if they did everyone else there would be embarrassed for them.

Now if you are talking pro sports, well, there you go. Bastion of brains there.

Others see him as a Man's Man, not some squishy soft male form of femdom that so easily hates their own country.

Others see him as a crass, low class, con man. I've heard him defended a bunch as being a blue collar billionaire. Why is that a good thing? Why is acting mature and dignified not what we should be shooting for?

Just a suggestion, but don't brag about sexual assault. Don't think you need to be a sexual tyranassarous. You'll end up a better person for it.

The Left has been flaunting their sex changes and lewd bedroom behaviors in front of everyone even making them into laws to force people to acknowledge behaviors they don't agree with. Trump has a little locker room talk and the Left pretends to be offended.

Not guy talk in my office. And I work for a big company. You'd get fired fast.

Construction sites, yes I'd agree with that (mucked and finished concrete for 8 years so I know about that)
Car shops? Maybe never when I've been in one.
Bars? Ah, yeah. Its a bunch of drunk people spewing whatever gibberish they can before passing out in their jeans and shoes. Hoping maybe the President is not like "Jerry" the bar local?

That was an excellent description of the situation from "the Right". No one says it has to make any sense or have any bearing with reality, but apt right wing talking points there. Shows a certain amount of intellectual dishonesty with one's self which is again, perfect for those who spout it.

Also, just have to say it, using Floyd Mayweather as the mouth piece for Trump is out right hilarious. Keep 'em coming!

Trump was very popular among black people until they were told by their democrat overlords that they shouldn't like him anymore. Once the liberal hysteria over Trump is proven to be nothing more than propaganda, hopefully some black people will wake up to how they have been played by the left.
