Looking for Recommendations for gloves.

I have almost everything I feel I need to manage a by foot bug out.

But lately I have noticed all the gloves I have suck, they either fail to keep my hands warm, but get soaked at a sneeze... or they manage to keep my hands warm and mostly dry but have zero dexterity.

Has anyone come across a happy medium some actual water resistance, some degree of warmth, and still has manual dexterity.

I am getting tired of reading bogus reviews and getting something that does not meet my needs, Hiking in a variety of weather, I will be armed and do not want to have to dick around with gloves while trying to get my gun.

Any help would be appreciated.

Im using a slim glove by Bob Dale Gloves (BDG) Called Xcavator3

These bad boys offer excellent protection in the field, im not going to say superior dexterity - But will go with good.
They have knuckle protection as well. With a high cut resistance.

I also have a slimmer BDG mechanics type glove that I use.
Its vented so you wont sweat in them, superior dexterity with moderate cut resistance.

Tell them your a company, they will send you any gloves you want for free.
All you have to do is a survey on the gloves you chose after a week or so of having them.

and maybe try to use the hand warmers because those do a good job of keeping you warm for over an hour.

Try the old British army northern island gloves if you can get them . Made of leather with padding keep you warm and reasonably dry plus well protected. Viper make a similar pair though slightly updated which are almost as good though slightly cheaper.

Google what the guys up in Inuvik use.
Or Whitehorse?

The guys who work outdoors up there need both dexterity and warmth.

Mittens are cold weather recommendation, they keep your fingers together inside the mitten, better for warmth.

For really cold weather pockets on coats should have a inner opening so you can join your hands together against your tummy. Then pull them out, put on gloves and do limited work.

Its a matter of survival in cold weather, no glove will suffice all the time.

I got me a pair of these. Not high end or anything but they are plenty warm, pretty tough and I've happily climbed a few trees while wearing them.

Not saying you could thread a needle or that they'd keep you alive if the world ended but they are pretty good without breaking the bank 😎

Think about military style mittens that have a flap to get a finger or two out if necessary.
Check out Coleman's Military Surplus on the internet.

I know gloves well and take waterproof mittens if the weather is inclement . Neoprene or cycling gloves which are waterproof might suit you , good dexterity and close fit .
The very best gloves are always of leather construction . The softer the better , skink if you can get it . Chose for fit if you can , but they wear in to the shape of your hand . Make sure the cuff fits well to the wrist ,if they have a tightening cuff, or select loose cuffed , because whipping them on and off alot is what you'd expect to do .

Whatever you get? You'll need a great mink oil or some type of oil/preservative/water repellant to keep rubbed into them to make sure they keep their integrity.

Having worked at my occupation in -52 degrees winter weather.....having done far north Survival Training.....you need a multi-layer approach.

One-finger[optimal dexterity] leather[good water repellant] mittens[warmer than fingered gloves] with open wrist-cuff[easy on/off when wearing liners]...with a thick heavy grip-safe[rubber dots ect let you grip in cold and wet] cotton[dry fast] liner to wear inside...2 more pairs of dry liners in your back pocket.

You can drop a mitt off in a split second with flick of your wrist as you raise your rifle and then you have acess to your trigger or tool wearing snug fitting safe-grip liners INSTANTLY with full 5-finger dexterity.[that loose wrist-cuff is important]

Remember that you alway need one and a spare of critical components to your BOB....in cold weather gloves qualify.

You can mend both gloves and liners.....the gloves can be used as a KISS pattern for making your own....which you will eventually have to do.
