I don't think so. I was just saying that this is an issue that really doesn't deserve as much outrage as it's getting and that recently, everytime I critique a conservative issue, like this, I get asked why I don't do the same for a similiar liberal issue and have gone out of my way to do so.

Well yes it's likely too late. There have been so many instances of this behavior without ridicule and condemnation, that it is now near mainstream.

I'm curious, why should people have to condemn someone like the woman in the OP, who obviously has crazy ideas? Shouldn't it be apparent to everyone she is crazy, and just leave it at that?

I mean, I've never condemned the crazy guy at the end of my street that yells at cars as they pass by, but that doesn't mean I support what he's saying.

Behavior like this has been a burning bag of dog poo on the doorstep of liberals for quite some time. Conservatives in particular have been criticizing and writing about political correctness for decades. Liberals on the other hand? Hardly anything. Now the smoke and smell is by now so odious that people are simply walking away from it. Someone has to put it out.

Nothing is aimed at you personally. I've just been reading pre-2015 ATS a lot where Hoaxes went in the Hoax bin, things were called what they were, and people supplied links and evidence for their comments, and the conversations were really good. Now, it's just about holding up one extreme as evidence of the whole, with everyone jumping in to defend their "side".

That sums it up very well. The actual liberals will have this credibily millstone around their necks if they allow this sort of thing to latch on and hijack the movement. The conservatives will have much the same problem with the far right.
