Brazilian Air Force Admits Investigation on UFOs

Well, one of the biggest acknowledgements really, is when any government puts money into a program to investigate the phenemonon. By doing so, they are at least admitting that there is something to study in the first place....

The US had done it with many different projects (other than BlueBook) and France has done it as well.

IMHO, it is worth noting that further dislcosure by a nation such as the U.S. would not add any validity to what are phenomenal, preexisitng, official acknowledgements by more than a half-dozen nations, including NATO members France and Belgium. In this regard, the COMETA report released in 1999, exists as an official, documented acknowledgement by the IHEDN (Institute of Advanced Studies for National Defense), the official institute reponsible for the creation of France's defense policy.

If you consider the sworn testimony by Lord Hill Norton, (retired 5-star Admiral and) former Head of the British Ministry of Defense (MoD), as well as the rather forthcoming acknowledgements from former Ministry of Defense (U.K.) official Nick Pope while he was in fact responsible (in an official capacity) for the investigation of U.K. sightings, you could add the U.K. to that list as well.

Regarding an "official" acknowledgement by our own government, all things considered, I'll accept the official FEMA Fire Officer's Guide to Disaster Control, which has an entire chapter dedicated to "Enemy Attack and UFO Potential." Our wonderful mods and members have done everything short of write a dissertation on the topic (the link above will take you to the thread), which includes links to the ISBN of the document as registered in the Library of Congress and even a link to Amazon.com where you can order a copy!

IMHO, there exists plenty of documented evidence of official acknowledgement. And this is before you begin to consider 60-or-so official testimonies by former U.S. military and government persons as published in Greer's Disclosure.

I maintain the greater mystery is not the existence of our "neighbors," but rather the degree to which the topic is still stigmitized in our society... That takes some real effort, you know?... it's not easy to remain so ignorant for so long... or is it? Maybe it's just in our nature...
