Monkey Adopts Chicken

Four-year-old Indonesian macaque named Niv is a resident of the Ramat Gan Safari Park in Israel and according to zoo officials she was having problems forming a relationship , so when by chance an unnamed chicken wandered into the enclosure Niv decided she would love it and pet it and and call it George ( Ok , she didn't call it George), now the pair are inseparable and Niv , her mother and their pet chicken have been moved to an enclosure of their own to keep the chicken safe from the other macaques.

Porat said the chicken “seems very happy to have found a surrogate mother. At night they sleep together.”
A few months ago, Niv attempted to adopt another chicken, but it spurned her advances.

Monkey style animal husbandry! Oh great! Next they're be farming and ranching and riding monkey domesticated horses to coral cattle, and then it's PLANET OF THE APES!

Love this video, used it in a thread the other day on a hate filled hate fest... a monkey does it though, and it's love. Humans do it, and it's preparing food... we are so lost.

Followed by chickens with choppers!! That chook just managed to barely escape the bovine rebellion..
