As far as I can tell, nobody has "sided" with the Neo-Nazi's, everyone has acknowledged how terrible they are. The problem is, people are equating "defending their rights" with "Nazi sympathizers" which couldn't be farther from the truth. Cue the hoo-rah.

Y'know, I really like how you worded that. Right now our country is pretty much "Al Qaeda" vs. "ISIS". When you stand back and look at everything, I honestly can't understand why anyone would agree with either group. All I see are a bunch of people with anger issues giving each other reasons to be violent.

This is not an even money game...

I'm gonna have to snopes all this antifa stuff, because previous to this week. I'm not sure I have ever even heard of them.. yet they are supposedly an even money threat with a century old genocidal white supremacists movement....

I doubt it..

This just screams of right wing "look they are as bad as our worst people.."

Rather than any actual evidence..

Hmm. Isn't it telling that you have never heard of this movement that haas been carrying out riots against speakers on the right for quite a while now?

And then the media goes berserk when Trump blames both sides.

Almost like the media doesn't want you to know about Antifa and other violent left wing groups.

Very TELLING

How The F# can anyone posting, Supposedly aware of what is going on, be UNAWARE of antifa and the Radical Marxists involved?

Deny ignorance indeed.

Well looks like i was right again. I knew innocent people would get caught in the crossfire. Feel free to take this story with a grain of salt but the MSM is just not reporting it. Sorry for the lack of multiple sources.

If this is true it should have its own thread.

As I said all day yesterday.

Just look at posters on ATS.

Step 1. Claim that it is morally just to attack nazis regadless of rather or not they are violent.

Step 2. Claim anyone who doesn't totally agree with you are nazis.

A free excuse to attack and possibly kill anyone who disagree with you.

I have been called a racsit and nazi several time since yesterday.

I wonder how mant of those people would stab me given the chance?

You're point is well taken... but I make different distinctions: It's not Antifa/BLM vs Neo-Nazis/White Supremacists...

It's the VIOLENT vs. the NON-VIOLENT.

I don't care what they're for or against. If they can argue their position with words and facts and ideas, then they're on the right side. If they resort to violence and mayhem to force their will on others, then they're on the wrong side. Period.

There were no "good" guys in Charlottesville. Every protester and counter-protester went fully expecting (and, dare I say it, wanting) violence. The police and government officials created a dangerous situation for all -- and then hid like cowards. And the media has fanned the flames in every possible way.

And ostensibly all over a damn chunk of metal. Absolutely freaking pathetic.

History is getting erased and rewritten as we speak. It's a really disturbing development and who in his right mind could believe that this is gonna be the end of it.

Going to compare Antifa with al Qaeda? You're insane.

Now AntiFa, up to this point they have done nothing but riot, loot, destroy and attack people.

The moment they actually kill people you can come at me again.

Sides... as in "living" or "dead"? [SNIPPED]

I will disagree with one small point.

There were good people in charlottesville, on all sort of different sides.

There were the militia trying to keep the peace, the ACLU, clergy, peaceful people on both sides not committing violence regardless of their views, and probably just people curious seeing the spectacle that took no side.

But these groups just further show why you are so right in the rest of your post; it was the violent vs. nonviolent.

By not calling out the violence on both sides because we assume one side is evil, we marginalize all of the innocent people that were hurt by the violent people on all sides.

I'm pondering if i should make a thread about the truth of the Antifa movement but i guess people like you would just ignore it. Yeah we are clearly the ones doing mental gymnastics.

I think we can all rest easy now that David Duke, mr. KKK thanks Donald Trump for his support. That's a good sign!!

Just curious, is that when you said when a person attending a BLM rally killed five cops?

You were either part of murderous BLM, or you weren't?

So even after everything they've done, they have to kill someone before you'll agree?? Well, don't worry there, I'm sure it'll happen in due time.......especially if there is truth to this article.

Who cares what David Duke saays.

But I can play that game too.

I guess we can all rest easy knowing that Omar Matteens father (the man who killed over 50 at a nightclub) not only supported Hillary and the democrats, but was allowed to attend one of her rallies.

1. You probably just blew people's minds that ISIS and Al Qaeda are not the same (yes, I have that little faith in people)

2. You forgot to mention that we should just let these two despicable groups fight it out, and then release the rancor on the winners.

Seriously, if these two groups want to literally fight it out to see who wins a Darwin awards, I say that we take it to Oakland Coliseum and charge for tickets. It's better than wasting taxpayer resources trying to keep them apart long enough to let it happen again.

Agree with what? That the premise of this thread is another childish attempt of a strawman?

Agreed.

Shame on me. I stand corrected -- thank you

There probably were folks there hoping to minimize and/or prevent violence on both sides... and perhaps they were at least somewhat successful, and without them it may have been worse.

God bless them all.
