UN fears for thousands trapped on Syria-Jordan border

“Airstrikes have been reported in the area in the last few days, causing serious distress and panic among the population fearing for their lives with the heightened risk of escalated hostilities,” Sunday’s statement said.

It said that although no casualties have yet been reported among the stranded Syrians, “the area is increasingly unsafe,” prompting some people to leave the area.

This exposed them to “further danger and deprivation in an inhospitable desert location, unsure of where to go in search of safety.”

Wow... this is almost nothing compared to the emergency in Yemen, but wow, this is really going to have a direct impact on so many countries.

If the UN is so worried about refugees, ask them why they created this situation in the first place.

So, at least we know where all the women and children and old people are, now that all the Syrian men have fled to safety in Europe.......in these "Refugee" camps.....waiting for the men to get them to Europe.

What a mess.

There should not be much threat to the refugees along that border. More than half of it is under US control. Perhaps they are worried for the mercenary groups we disowned and are defecting to the Syrian Army??
