the sooner Jewish groups start being vocal about what intelligent people have always known was an issue between Judaism and Islam the better.


This can only get worse if we dont talk openly and honestly about the potential for very dangerous scenarios to play out.

It is not the entire reason it seems, but the fact that the potential for a terrorist attack has been cited should concern everyone. Would the same reason be cited as a reason for not building a mosque? Or would the same council refuse the building of mosque because it might become an extremist breeding ground? Reason not applied evenly is not reason at all.

Back in the 1970's a local civic group in Penndel, PA that represented some British-American club wanted the liquor license pulled from a Bar called the Irish Rover, because they though it, or its' patrons, were supporting the IRA. The IRA, as many will recall, was considered a terrorist organization at that time.

The measure failed.

We can all view that as stupid now, but people we really serious about it at the time.

No, it was not. It was a long time ago, but I recall the local papers made a fuss, and some folks who went to the bar were interviewed.

Turns out, that years later it came out that people all over the US had been supporting the IRA for decades through a variety of means. I don't think the bar had much to do with it, although they did have folk bands from Ireland perform there who sang all the revolution IRA songs "Armored Cars, Tank and Guns..etc". I'm sure a hat or two got "passed" for "the cause" occasionally.

Isnt that "racist" to assume that it would be a target? Basically admitting that Muslims are violent and WANT to hurt Jews

Terror is winning the smaller battles. It takes many forms, but fear of terror is effecting policies all over the western world. In some ways the governments are supporting and encouraging the fear, but eventually fear will create anger and that will create a violent reaction against the terror.

Some will never submit to terror and will fight back in numerous ways while many will retreat and try to hide from it. In nature when the prey gives up running and fighting they give in and allow the predator to finish them off and eat them. Some animals fight back, drive them off and gain enough respect to be left alone. It's the law of the jungle and what our civilization is being reduced to I'm afraid.
