Hypicritical society, why are we so confused?

Recently I posted a link to a site, and a day later i recieved a U2u from a moderator, telling me that the thread was put in the trash do to the nature of the adult jokes on the site. And he said children come to this site.

The question i have and have discussed in my book that i am writing? Ask why is it such that we have to be 18 years of age to purchase or rent "porn" however 14 to rent a movie of violence and of killing. (i live in canada by the way if your age restrictions are different)

why is this? why do we prefer are children to see pain rather then pressure?
Is it society's way, the system's way to inscribe fear into the minds of are young ones, in order for them to feel a sense of vulnerbility there by following the rules and embracing the system. Is this propraganda? i dont know however what do you guys think?

*pressure is actually supposed to be pleasure (inter im refering to sex)

Perhaps it is because the values of a religious society seem to think that sex is ungodly, immoral, or sinful. Of course violence is okay in their eyes because the bible teaches and eye for an eye, whereas it has ample text condemning promiscuous sex.

This is something that changes from region to region. In Europe sexuality is much more open.
It is as if a country grows to have almost a a singular opinion on these things.
Personally I think Violence in the media is far worse than sex.
Maybe we wouldn't have so many problems with STDs and teen pregnancy if sexuality was a more open subject.

Yeah i definetly believe that relgion is at fault for many of our distorted and hypicritical thought and actions. There is so much within the pages of the bible that contradict on another you could produce a book as large as itself proving its flaws, the ones the "christians dont notice". People dont understand the background of the bible and how it was manipulated to produce emmense power amongst the men. I have read several books on the gospels and what not, I have firm belief that the bible itself is one large lie, a massive coverup.
