Is this the beginning of a "religious assault" on those who consider themselves Christians in general? The problem I have with this, is that any logical critique presented by CNN could cause such a partisan reaction, that people would defend Donald Trump, even if he was wrong. This isn't to attack Trump supporters, I'm neither Democrat or Republican. I'm sure many were also in the same state, before this election. But after this election, things have become extremely polarized in this country.

If CNN, or any other news organization, presents a logical critique of someone in the Christian faith, will they be deemed as "Fake News" and bypassed, although their critique might be accurate? And what of those who hold the same views, yet are not either Democrat or Republican. Will they be held up as leftist sympathizers?

Why would religion be in politics? Because religion is being pushed into politics, purposefully. Al Gore, and Nancy Pelosi are bringing God into the conversation about climate change, and many within the climate change movement are increasingly bringing God into the situation. Take note, because it will certainly soon be said that "God" wants us to legislate religious laws (Sunday Laws) to stop the calamities. But, first, national agitation of the Sabbath subject.

I think it should be clear by now that CNN is a "trigger machine" that says and does anything and everything that will trigger Trump supporters. They've got it down to a science at this point.

The "New" religion will be based on the environment. Read the Georgia Guidestones, that I have been laughed at for mentioning!

Not so sure I want to worship the GOD these people are invoking, and also take a gander at the Pope who appears to be in the process of destroying the Catholic church. Will he lead this so called new religion? I do believe the end game is in full swing.

I'd say CNN is triggered. They literally blackmailed a child over a gif created online. I mean how low can a corporation go?
Plus, they obviously hate that we call them fake news, which if I recall correctly was brought up by the left wanting to label specific "Alt-right" sites as fake news. Guess it turned around to bite the left in their own ***.

The gist of this seems to be that Fake Crapper thinks tweeting is somehow the President's celebration of the Sabbath.
It was quite an odd comment from Crapper.

A "new" religion based on the environment ... sounds like the worship of the sun, moon, and stars. Ancient pagan worship never died off, it's just still around in times like these.

As for the Pope leading, remember, he is the one that published the climate encyclical to which 175 nations responded to in less than a year. The COP21 Paris Agreement's prologue literally gets it's principles from Pope Francis Encyclical.

Basically, the Pope, the world leader? Absolutely yes.

You're forgetting the religious right that are bringing gods into politics to preserve "christian values," and anti abortionists that bring gods into the debate because "the babies are being murdered." Those are just two examples off the top of my little atheist head I am sure there's tons more to find on both sides of the red/blue line.

It's a two way street, and the debate of religion in politics must be shown as such.

Christianity is already a solar religion, therefore the "old" religion is based upon the environment already.

This is a common mistake. Christianity is not a solar religion, but Catholicism is. Christianity utterly rejects all that Catholicism brings to the table, because Catholicism blatantly mixes old religions with Christianity.

With all due respect, I don't think it's possible to have a "moral" nation without religion. Without religion, morality is subjective. Everyone's idea of morality differs, and looking to nature does not help things. Our Western Civilization is a Judaeo-Christian one, and to remove such a foundation from our civilization is the destruction of it.

However, I agree that no one can force you to serve God. You have the choice to refuse to do so, no force involved. But in regards to other human beings, I have to step in, because it is my duty to protect the unborn, etc. This isn't to say I'm politically involved, but that as a Christian, I will vocally defend children who are murdered in the womb. It is my duty.

My projection from current trends is that something like this will happen, but the sponsor will be Gaia rather than the Biblical God.

Interestingly enough, you bring to mind something I learned about the first Sunday Law recently. It wasn't done in the name of God, but was actually done in the name of Paganism. Check this out:

Constantine is the founder, in part at least, of the Civil observance of Sunday, by which alone the religious observance of it in the church could be made Universal and could be properly secured. In the year 321 he issued a law prohibiting manual labor in the cities and all judicial transactions, at a later period also military exercises, on Sunday. ... He enjoined the observance, or rather forbade the public desecration of Sunday, not under the name of Sabbatum or Dies Domini, but under its old astrological and heathen title, Dies Solid, familliar to all his subjects, so that the law was applicable to the worshippers of Hercules, Apollo, and Mithras, as to Christians. There is no reference whatever in his law either to the fourth Commandment or to the resurrection of Christ.
books.google.com...=onepage&q&f=false

He did it in the name of a paganism, with zero mention of the Christian faith, and zero mention of Christianity.

Gaye earth (Gaia) already has its inhabitants by the balls. Its a self fornicating projective plane that intices its microbiology to sacrifice themselves as fertilizer.

On the 7th day God rested, and Saturn mimicked from his side of the glowing wormhole , assuming stagnation as the sign of superiority, and using the quantity over quality methodology, "power in numbers", to convince the others to follow his desire for stillness of life.

not at all.
maybe you missed trump in the build up to the last election, but he claimed to be bigly yuge on religion.
despite being divorced and declared bankrupt a few times, both major sins for the religious, his fans bought it.

throw in his claims obama spent too much time golfing while trump has managed to eclipse that number already, and you have the actual article.

if you're trying to say a multiple divorcee can be a good christian/catholic whatever trump says he is today, your being willingly ignorant or a total hypocrite.

CNN knows the situation is hopeless . They dont care what they put out there now , and there is no reason to.
1) Major discrimination lawsuit in Georgia that basically encompasses all of CNN
2) Ratings dropping like a ton o bricks
3) Think if the AT&T buyout goes through , CNN and the folks there will remain long ? CNN will remain as is ?

Let em go , they are bringing on their own fate....

Hence "religious assault" in quotes. There is no way a Christian can say that it's okay to do some of the things President Trump is doing. But the "you can't judge" mentality comes into play with some, who will defend Trump for saying things, like grab her .... It's simply not Christian for him to say such things. Some might view it as an "attack" on their faith, for pointing out President Trump's inconsistencies in the Christian religion, and instead of calling him out on it, people defend it. Just like when the Prophets of old rebuked Israel, and lashed out against them.

It is a good thing that the government cant establish a religion. Judging a President on religious grounds also makes no sense. Unless of course this is a new attack angle from the left.

Modern Christianity is certainly a solar religion. Ask yourself what are the major holidays (holy days) associated with it?
Easter and Christmas...both mark a new birth of the son, and the beginning of the planting season. If that's not solar i don't know what else it could be. And then there's all saints day (halloween) which marks the end of harvest days.

So there are 3 holy days associated with soltices...how is that not solar?

And with all due respect, I disagree with you. And I will vocally defend those who are abandoned as unwanted. I have said it before on these forums...until children are no longer starving to death, abandoned, being killed in abusive homes, and dying of horrifying diseases around the world; abortion should be legal. After those things are eradicated then I will consider your side of the debate.
