That's the reality of Brexit so far and it's not even gotten started really.

Brexit might seem like a good idea but the fact of the matter is that the U.K will be on her arse for the next few decades, and that's being optimistic.

I would indeed consider purchasing a 50" Vizio 4K TV but alas i cannot seem to find the Vizio brands available for purchase in the UK.

Get the 1060 6gb or 3gb

Projector all the way. I have a 155 inch screen in full HD and game on it with amazing immersion. You can pick up a fantastic 1080P projector for sub 500 dollars these days. 4K - the entry point is around 2000.

I have 2 GTX1070 8Gb

A 1060 6Gb would be hard pushed to run games at 4K/60fps(depending on the game), christ my 1070s are apparently hard hard pushed to do so.

It's a half decent display, preferably 4K, but ile settle for 1440p, i'm after. Need to be 32" or larger and around £500.

I don't have the the room for a projector right now, current flats rather on the small side.

2 x 1070s in SLI ya got nothing to worry about. You have the equivalent of a Titan
Shame you cant find the Vizios anywhere . Fairly inexpensive , but solid TVs

Well technically i have one 1070 in my Ryzen 1600X rig and one in my old Intel i52500K system.

Without anything other than my 1080p TV and monitor i don't really see the need to cannibalise the old system so i can run a SLI setup, considering the 1070 pretty much handles any and all titles at 1080p/60fps.

Plus the PSU in new Ryzen rig is only 750W, might be pushing it somewhat running 2 1070s, i could be wrong. Obviously if i do find a half decent 4K or 1440p monitor or TV i will be running the SLI setup through.

Yes its a shame i cannot seem to acquire a 4K Vizio TV as i have herd good things about some, also some bad, but generally good.

As many have said before. Don't do it.

There's a reason why computer monitors exist. Take a look at any eSports tournament. You'd think they'd use giant TV's because bigger is better right! wrong!

You need higher refresh speeds and higher hz in order to take full advantage of a computer which requires high volumes of information going through that you just don't get in tv's.

Not only that, but if you're doing high intense stuff like gaming, you'll get even more out of a monitor that has made a few deals with graphics card companies that allow the monitor and card to sync up becoming the most efficient it can get.

If you're not doing anything like that and you just watch YouTube videos or other things not too labour intensive on your rig, then a tv could work, if you'd like

If i'm going with a monitor i would like it to be at least 30" or larger, 144Hz, 1440p(or better). Like i said my budgets around £500, and most of the ones i have come across that meet or exceed those specs are around £700-£800(Mrs will have me on the couch for a week).

Its for gaming but i'm not looking to take up eSports tournaments, could live with around a 4ms refresh rate.

Years ago I had a Vizio . It developed a minor issue . One HDMI port stopped working . The tech came out did some work , and the 2nd time replaced the mainboard. The tech tested it. Didnt work. Called support and they sent me out a brand new upgraded version . And told me to keep the older one....
Vizio all the way...

Looks ok for the price, but tend to prefer curved screens in 21:9 format. For me at least it feels easier to keep track of everything going on.
Keep in mind that even though 3440*1440 in 21:9 is a really nice format for gaming, with £500 you could actually go with 2560*1440 or 2560*1080 and get a monitor with freesync or gsync capability - which would be far better.

If you are thinking about to upgrade your TV which is used as a monitor then I think you should buy a gaming monitor now. I also use the monitor for gaming. I have Asus VG248QE gaming monitor which is one of the best gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate and G-Sync technology. You can also try this.

I'd personally recommend a decent 2560x1440 setup instead. I get everyone wants the latest and greatest, but a step down will greatly increase performance in your games. Unless price is no object of course.. then you can build a Super Saiyen desktop with loads of cooling and multiple top-end graphics cards. : )

Also many games are not coming optimized for 4k yet. So unless you play a narrow genre, if you play say.. a 4x game from time to time, you may find the UI to be so tiny that only eagles can read it.

4K is just too new to be utilized universally by games, at the moment. Heck, only a small handful can even play on it with any decency, and those that can still run better at lower resolution.

I'm aiming for a 2k monitor myself, ideally with 144hz and g-sync. That will be more than enough until developers can catch up with 4k, and even then, id probably skip it for VR anyway

Just picked up the Dell s2417dg for exactly those specifications myself.

Dell is definitely a good choice and well Suitable for your needs. I play all my games on Dell Gaming Laptops. I love the monitors, the color ratio, the Pixels. I also have Asus VG248QE gaming monitor but it is not good as Dell.
Also Look -AOC Agon AG352UCG It has good specifications as Curved 21:9 screenG-Sync compatibilityIt

I also think that Dell S2417DG is good choice. Dell monitors are really good and I also have it.
