Bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using tax-payer money. Biggest move: Traded Sammy Sosa to the Chicago Cubs.

With fathers help (and his name) was elected Governor of Texas.

Accomplishments- Changed pollution laws for power and oil companies and made Texas the most polluted state in the Union. Replaced Los Angeles with Houston as the most smog ridden city in America. Cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas government to the tune of billions in borrowed money. Set record for most executions by any Governor in American history.

Became president after losing the popular vote by over 500,000 votes, with the help of my fathers appointments to the Supreme Court.

What about Mr.Clinton's resume guys? He allowed Osama to get away 3 times, he had him but Bill was too stupid to have the FBI take him in. Bill also released Hispanics who were responsible for over 130 USA bombings. Read "Dereliciton of Duty" or "The Year of the Rat" theres Slick Willey's resume.

Fact is that bush is #ing up the US and for that matter the rest of the world too with the war path he and his administration are walking.

So IMHO his resume is probably quite accurate and at the very least describes bush his competence...

So what do we do against an army of hatred? Do we let the Muslims run over us? Talk will not work with terroistsn only war. We need it against the forces of evil. Unless we can use Jedi Mind Tricks on them, talk will nto work.

I agree... and that's why it is a very (and i stress very) difficult subject... but Iraq for example was definetely not a legitemate target... the excuse terrorism was used to invade iraq... now don't get me wrong i too think that saddam and his regime was as evil as hitler or the likes...

My point here is that the bush administration is using the definition of terrorism to attack any and all persons/countries/regimes that the US had or has a problem with. And that is a very dangerous issue....

Don't ask me for a solution cuz i can't offer one... but you must agree that bush and blair deceived the whole world on the iraq issue... now he's threatening Iran, north korea.... just thinking of a possible attack on those countries under the veil or terrorism makes me shiver in my boots...

Look at the resumes of other Presidents:

Abe Lincoln:

Served in Illinois State Militia for 3 months during Blackhawk War. Saw one Indian. Let him have some of his beans and walk away. Also served as Captain, THEN as Sergeant.

Served ONE term in Congress. Didn't bother to run for re-election because his support was so low.


George Washington:
Uncle got him job as county surveyor.

Was surrounded and defeated by french in his first battle. RESIGNED from the British army.

Harry Truman:
Missouri National Guard, artillery officer.

Failed haberdasher.

Failed farmer.

Elected to first office with the help of a crooked Kansas City political machine.

Bottom line: some of america's best leaders have had horrible careers... up to the point that they became president. On the other hand, if you look at the lives of america's worst presidents, you're likely to find a history of stunning victories and lauded accomplishments.

You left out the part about the Bin Laden family financing some of Bush's oil deals. You also left out the folks who have paid with their lives or sanity to keep Bush family secrets from coming to the light of day.

There are so many things wrong with the initial post that it would take too long to reply (for instance, Bush didn't remove the US from the UN human rights commission... the USA was booted off and LIBYA became its head). This whole thread has evolved from one of those emails that college activists spend all day forwarding to each other. Really, it, like so much else out there, just sounds like 'on the ropes' exasperation on the part of people who are too embarrased to admit that they were crushed in the last election (2002).
