22 Iraqi security forces and 14 gunmen have been killed in an attack on a police station in Manawil, 80 kilometers south of Baghdad. According to
police spokesman Captain Muthana Khalid Ali, the attackers used automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades. The attack occurred at just after
10:30 PM local time.

Insurgents arriving in pick up trucks attacked a police station south of Baghdad tonight killing 22 police and Iraqi soldiers in a fierce gun fight,

Fourteen attackers also died in the clash, which broke out about in Mahawil, 50 miles south of Baghdad, said police Captain Muthana Khalid Ali.

Reports of attacks all over Iraq have been coming in today. Since the election attacks seem to have gone down slightly, but not by much. Even with
the new government, there doesn't appear to be an end to the killing in sight.
