Scotland v England , Let Battle Commence

Tonight at 5pm one of the fiercest but mismatched rivalries in football kicks off , England meet Scotland on Scottish territory for their World Cup group qualifying match , England currently sit top their group with Scotland lying 4th and desperately needing a win if they're to stand any chance of going to Russia in 2018.

The game is being shown live on ITV and hopefully will live up to expectation , meaty but fair , my prediction .... 3-0 Engerland.

So....soccer ? ...( I'm a chic who doesn't watch a ton of sports ...) but I wouldn't mind seeing some of that if I can find it in my tv selections .

If England do win Nicola Sturgeon will demand the game be replayed until the result goes the way she wants it to.

If she did resign as a result of an English defeat I would consider it a victory.

That's it exactly. Its not the that I don't like football is poncy bunch of Nancy boys that play it and the managers that I can't stand. The lower flights of the game still retains some of the original grit and intent. The advent of the premiership has been the main factor in the decline. It has more clout than the FA and we have not seen a decent performance from the national sides since its inception.
