that big blob of tree sap was most likely accrued over a 24 hour period from when the baby fell into some & got covered up before the process of decay took over and putrefied the critter...

I don't think such comments can be remotely considered funny if that is what you are going for. I feel that those comments are unnecessary and completely off topic.

Just a bit of fun and not intended to offend.....sorry, we Brits can't help taking the piss out of anything and everything, including ourselves....and most of us tend not to be so sensitive.

I wasn't calling out anyone in particular Freeborn, it is just that I see that comment in every thread about some fossil find.

Also, I'm not trying to defend the belief, a 6,000 year old creation is not what those bible verses are talking about, so yes, those fundamentalists with that belief are pretty ignorant concerning what was written.

Still, no one came on the thread saying that the age of this fossil can only be 6,000 years old or less, so making those comments is merely baiting and acting like a troll, not defending the counter point of a 99 million year old fossil. IMO it is just an attempt to start trouble and throw the subject off topic.
