Today, 6th of June, in Paris, a man assaulted a Policeman on the parvis of Notre-Dame. Sources report that he attacked the policeman with a hammer,
but the policeman quickly responded and fired at the attacker, neutralizing him.
[Some sources report that it was a colleague of the policeman who fired]
The police quickly advised the citizens to avoid that sector, trains, buses and subways were redirected (as in, told not to stop near Notre-Dame)
Some people report hearing two gunshots, some other report hearing three. The attacker was witnessed lying on the ground.
Many CRS police forces were sent to prevent any possible large-scale attack.
Over 900 visitors were confined in the cathedral, and later released after the police assessed the situation.
The policeman survived and is currently being treated for his wounds. Newspaper Le Figaro reports that, according to their sources, the attacker is of
Algerian descent.

Could there have been an attack similar to those of London (or the previous ones in Paris) involving stabbing and attacks in mutliple places ? I hope
this situation doesn't get worse (although, I am aware that it will, even if not today).
Sorry if it already has been posted, if there are unaccuracies, or if I did anything wrong regarding formatting. If so, tell me and I'll try to fix
it. If this isn't the right forum for such news - I am aware that this might not entirely fit the "alternative" news - feel free to move it to the
right section.
